Generally premium emulsion is the cheapest paint that is durable. The budget grades are meant to be applied more frequently, especially in places that is exposed to weather.
Some companies make budget paints and have the market. Some brands deal on premium grades only and that is the reason some brands are like twice or thrice the price of some brands.
If you care about budget friendly and aesthetics, you may use matte emulsion for flatness, low sheen and cleanable.
If you care about durability only, you may use premium emulsion.
If budget is not in consideration bearing in mind screeding is usually done in preparation for using high sheen paint, then satin can be used for internal and matte for external.
For unscreeded wall, premium emulsion is ideal for durability.

Update according to present reality.
Negotiate N8000 to N10000 per drum for emulsion depending if it's a freshly built house or repainting of previously painted place.
N12000 to N15000 per matte/satin/silk because it requires sandpaper work and wall preparation.
We at Regal paint do free ceiling and fence spray application on purchase of Regal paint still April.
