In the Islamic faith, like in some other faiths, supplications (praising God, seeking His forgiveness, blessings requests) are doctrinally done in repetitition.. of numbers such as 100s, 1000s or any number you possibly can. It has been the practice from the days of the old.. it is believed that repeated prayers keep the devotee more focused, more steadfast in faith and hence quickly answered by the Divine hosts. |
