It doesn't work that way bro. Cost of living is relatively low compared to Abuja where most federal workers reside. A standard 2bed flat in Abuja suburbs is going for about 1.2m to 1.5m, same apartment cannot be above 500k to 700k in Zamfara, same applies to other states. If the federal govt is paying 150k, states like Rivers, kano and Lagos should be able to pay 120k, while Imo, Delta, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom to pay 100k, kaduna, cross river', Edo , ondo, Anambra, Enugu etc should pay 80k. All others 65k

That has been my argument too. It is nonsense for all state to maintain same minimum wage figure.

Rivers people get mouth ..Akwa Ibom disappoint me . All the Akwa Ibom people I have meant in my life are nice people. Niceness should start from home. Obidient how market 40k na like $24 o ...na wa o e be like say Borno home of the Deribes and Indimis no come wan shake body ..

well like in advanced democracies each federating units have the right to peg her minimum wage with exception they do not pay below the national minimum wage



Remember that Nigerian democracy is 25 years this year. So I expect them to have advanced beyond this level
