Meanwhile, where's Aina btw ? One of Nigeria best players at the afcon. He was integral at the Afcon and even made the caf team of the tournament. Apart from being defensively solid, he's flexible, agile and technical. Maybe he's injured.

The midfield is still something I'm looking at. Of course Iwobi plays the no 10 role for the team. The forward area isn't an issue if got right but the central midfield is where some issue lie. Onyedika looks technical but not defensively solid nor agile. Ndidi who's supposed to be defensively solid isn't technical enough. Meanwhile, I didn't even know who was playing the holding midfield role between the two.

If I were the coach, I would definitely bring the technical Aribo into the midfield fold. Because Aribo has dominated several good midfield opposition teams, even when he was partnering with Iwobi (who's a no 10) in a 2-man midfield against Ecuador, not to mention how he also dominated the Brazilian midfield & Egyptian midfield. However, it should be noted that irrespective of the defensively attributes (tackling & awareness) of Aribo, he's not a holding midfielder but a box to box midfielder hence a good holding midfielder has to hold it down in the midfield. So, Onyedika would have to really operate as a holding midfielder. I think apart from Onyedika, there's no other holding midfielder in the squad. Most of the midfielders are box to box, including Ndidi.
