Recall that in 1900 he moved the motion for Lagos to be made Nigeria's Capital by the amalgamation in 1914. Recall that even before that, during the creation of the Earth, he parted the waters to create the Lagos Lagoon and the many inner waters of Lagos.

After independence, he used his school pocket money (from the school he attended before it was established) to build the airports, sea ports bridges, and all the general infrastructure of the city including the third mainland bridge.

He also personally visited his babalawo in Iragbiji, Osun State, where he comes from, and cast a most potent spell which ensured that all the banks, corporations and multinationals in Nigeria moved their headquarters to Lagos, thereby single handedly making it Nigeria's economic capital.

In 2 words, envy and hate. HE Lamido has never built anything worthy in his political career and left office to resume trial with his own sons at EFCC for alleged looting the funds of his homestate of Jigawa.
