If Palestine is wise they should release the Israeli hostages, embrace peace and live their lives peacefully on their side of the country. Long term ceasefire and absence of violence can make Israel relax it's borders. The blockade is eminent because Palestine has sworn to wipe out Israelis and there is no clear distinction between a regular Palestinian and a Hamas terrorist. As we have seen Israeli hostages where not only found with Hamas terrorists but with regular Palestinians like journalists, and in hospitals, in schools etc.
So we cannot completely absolve ordinary citizens because they are potential terrorists.
