Logic. Would you vacant the seat of power from Asaba and then carve into another region without you meeting massive resistance?. Are you aware that there have been repeated calls to relocate the capital of Delta from Asaba to another part of the state yet it never happened. That's intra state resistance, you can imagine trying to take it away from the state entirely.

Mumu Enugu became a state in 1994/93 before then, it was a state to old Anambra. You know no anything!!

Anioma is an acronyms for different subgroups, it comprises of multi-ethnic groups across the nine local government.
Anioma is not an ibo-only dominated areas, Iglala, yoruba, Ika, and other ethnicities who are not identified as ibos make up the whole of Anioma. More importantly, Asaba which happens to be the capital of Delta state is untouchable, in other words, the state capital can never be carved out to somewhere else. Also is the fact that areas of a region cannot be carved out into another region, it is politically impossible. therefore, Anioma cannot be submerged into SE.
If Anioma would clamour for a state, it would make it the 7th state in the SS which would be resisted by other SS stakeholders. The location of a 7th state is a tough debate in the SS region, in any event, there would be public debates across the region.
Finally, Senator Ned was only flying a kite on facebook, he has the floor of the senate to move the motion but he knows there would be pandemonium in the senate

No thinking politician from Anioma buys Ned Nwoko's idea of Anioma state to leave the southsouth for the southeast.
Asaba is where the 13% from oil derivation for Delta state arrives first, then gets put into development projects in all of Delta state.
Of course, Asaba and its environs get the lion's share. Ned just entered politics yesterday. He is merely looking for more political clout from the uninitiated in Anioma. If he had said create Anioma state but without adding for the SE.. he would have made more sense.

what u need too know that in Delta they are like 3 sub group the ikas Aniochas and Ukwuani. This Anioma state push is majorly champion by The Aniocha/oshimili. U hardly hear about that from Ika or Ukwuani people. And am telling u this as an Ika man.

Enugu was capital of Eastern region way before Ojukwu became military governor of Eastern region in 19966 you should know better.

You opened a new thread to wail about Anioma state proposal. It only indicates that you are very worried that it is the most likely to sail through given the massive support it is getting online and offline. I told you people that no single area of Anambra state will be annexed for any future state creation. Anambra people are very proud and happy to be Anambrarians. Orlu state idea as proposed by Imo Ugochinyere can only come from a mentally unstable person like him. Apart from the fact that it aims to steal the only two oil producing areas of Imo state that Owerri mafia are using to flex, there is no consultation within Imo state not to talk of Anambra that that has vehemently resisted any plans to balkanize the great state of Zik and Ojukwu. So far only the IMO state lawmaker in the house of representatives is carrying his wretched Orlu with him and there is no support from the Senate for his demented idea of a state. Even ohaneze headed by an Owerri man will certainly not support his senseless state proposal. On the other hand, Anioma state will get full backing from Ohaneze and Anambra power brokers to become the sixth SE state.
