The minimum wage is for a primary school certificate holder who just starts working.

No graduate under the federal government is earning 30k.

If the Federal government can pay any amount NLC wants, do you think the private sector can pay it?

A fresh university graduate in Lagos State civil service is earning over 80k presently. Many teachers in Lagos State are earning over 200k while Vice principals earn more than 400k, principals earn more than 450k monthly

I never worked in a public sector but I believe somebody working with pry6 certificate should be in grade level one step one (1/1). How old is a pry schl leaver? Average of 12years. That person is not old enough to work.

So if u r a pry schl cert holder u should av learnt a craft before attaining a working age and have a side huzzle otherwise u deserve whatever life thrown at u.

A SSCE holder will earn better than 62k cos he or she should be in level 3 or more and if u r working with that certificate, u should be comfortable living in a face me I slap u apartment for some yrs b4 getting promotion and earn better. And if u got married at the age of 18 or 19 as a man..........

The labor force of federal govt of Nigeria is about 2million,
Let's inflate the figure because of corruption and looting to 3million.

We sell 1.5 million barrel of crude oil daily @%90 per barrel which equals to $135million daily.

Let's assume 40% of this funds is shared across states then %20 is spent on salaries while the fg retains the rest 40% for capital and reccurent expenditure.
How about state workers?
20% of 135million = $27million.
Multiply by 30 days in a month= $810million.

If you divide this figure by 3million workers, that's $270 per individual workers.

Depending on heirachy, I see no reason why the FG can't pay a minim wage of $120 as minimum wage.
That's about 140k In naira if you deduct $20 for pension and tax.

If labour are being realistic 140k is a fair deal, that 60k they are all talking about is absolute hogwash and I'm not joking.
So also the 250k labour is requesting.

What about state workers?
