Yes, of course.....during my visit to The Gambia . Men, I ate them, kinda oily though , but taste nice.....they put it in a skewer , grill it slightly.....
The live one looks threatening and irritating

It's called "Ivo" In Ebira. Ofcourse, it's edible and I do eat it.

Lagos people no too sabi traditional delicacies.
That's a big fat lie ma'am. I grew up in Lagos and ate this Esunsun very well as a kid. It was even sold by those who caught it in excess as a roasted delicacy.
