It's not adding value to them but Igbo. Don't you know their interest in Nigeria is based on crude oil from SE and SS? Remove free crude oil from these regions and they'll go back to shouting Oduduwa and the subsequent Operation Wetie and another 100 years of internal crises. Anioma state is something that favors Igbo and anything favoring Igbo is against their vision of a lopsided Nigeria where only they (and Northern Fulani) freely steal Igbo and siuthern minorities oil for the heck of it.

Read up on how Anambra oyel was being credited to Delta state derivation payments for years….that was until Governor Obiano kicked up a fuss and put a stop to it! Now they’re reluctantly paying Anambra 13% derivation payments, but not after ruling Anambra will not get all as the boundary determination (that’s been going on since GEJ was president) is yet to be concluded!

Or should we talk of how Igbo territories rich in hydrocarbons were surgically sliced out from the whole and placed in Rivers state!?

They know out of all tribes in Nigeria na only Igbo people they can't use their head with their fake sophistication.
