Remove Nnewi and Onitsha from Anambra and you have nothing left. And if we are going by history, these places trace their origin to places that most parts of the state are not from. Nnewi is more historically related to Orlu than nearby Nnobi. Even Igwe Achebe has acknowledged Onitsha's complex origin and Eze Chima in historical text has widely been acknowledged to be an Aro man. Any part of the so-called Anambra that is not Nnewi or Onitsha is XXXX!

There's been push for an Aba state even before the creation of Ebonyi State, which was done in deference to late Dr.Akanu Ibiam who asked for that as his last request.
It was also raised again during the Obasanjo administration.

Thing is that our current reps for Ngwa la Ukwa stock lack the political will to pursue it.
Aba has what it takes to be a state on it's own but hard truth is that the rest of Abia state would collapse without Aba,hence their kick against it.

It's a known fact that if Aba were to belong to nde Ogboo axis, they wouldn't be as accommodating as Ngwa people.
Aba deserves its own state but you people's fear is that such an act would only expose the poverty of the rest of Abia state since Aba is your economic mainstay!

People from all walks of life are living in Aba and prospering in their businesses. No Ngwa man disturbs them like Ikwerre people who at every twist and turn demand for 'marching ground '.

Ngwa people are industrious farmers hence vegetables and the like are very affordable in the markets in Ngwalands.
Most of you criticizing Ngwa land and her people cannot even spend one full week in your village without running back to Aba.
Ngwa people deserve their own State. There was a push for it few years back.
Even if they are not given their own State, respect them for being very accommodating.
All these Ohafia/Abiriba/Anambra business moguls couldn't have made it big if they were not in Aba.
Respect the great Enyimba people!

Aba is not different from Enugu,Umuahia,Owerri,Onitsha,Awka etc...those cities have indigenes too so nde Ngwa are not doing anything special others have not done.It is non indigenes that made Aba what it is today without them Aba will become a village.
Nobody was against an Ngwa man ruling Abia state after all without the full support from Abia North and Abia Central stakeholders Okezie will never smell that seat.After they were given the opportunity what happened?They killed rotational power sharing arrangment of PDP out of greed and tomorrow you will start crying against marginalization because without that arrangment in place which Okezie Ikpeazu benefited from and made it invalid after his tenure ended his insistence for another Ngwa man to continue after his 8 years in office. it will be very difficult for an Ngwa candidate to beat those from Abia North going forward.

We in Abia North are after good governance we care little about where the governor comes from.Alex Otti is a good example,we supported him even though he is still from Ngwa land after 8 year of another Ngwa man that is how liberal we from Abia North are.
We want development of the state in whole where no area is left out.
So my brother Aba state is not going to happen forget it.We will know your true colours once Aba state is created.We ain't taking that risk.

Bros,Aba is the Nexus of Ngwaland which comprises 9 local government areas! Enugu city is the Nexus of all 'waawa' localities, hence the name Enugu State. Mind you, Obingwa,in Ngwaland, is the largest local government in Abia state which shares boundaries with about 3 states,and from which more local governments can be created. They all would fall under an Aba state!
No way you can compare that to Awka, Umuahia,etc.
An Aba state is very possible if not that the rest of Abia state would turn to a village without Aba city.l, hence you guys are kicking against it.
You people look down on Ngwa people but they are the Blessed of God. They have arable flat lands unlike the terrible hilly and undulating topography of Abia North and central.

Anyways,we need good governance.
Okezie might not have been the best,not because he's an Ngwa man,but because of his weaknesses as a human but still give it to him,he did quite well in terms of infrastructure. Glad enough, he's been vindicated in some quarters. He constructed many roads in Aba just like OUK.
The only area where I faulted his administration was in the non payment of workers'salaries. That was a no-no.
He wasn't entirely bad!
Otti is trying though but his media team is running too much propaganda, take for instance,the Geometric hullabaloo....
No constant light in Aba!
They should just let the man focus and work and let his works speak for him.

Above all may Abia state succeed.It is citizens not even the government that broadcast Otti's achievement because they have seen something in a leader they never seen in previous ones.Alex Otti have vision for Abia state.The people trust him that is very important unlike Ikpeazu,Ochendo and OUK because he does what he said he will do.
