It's a per capita calculation. An easy way of demonstrating the impact of Public spending, Govt revenue and GDP. among others.
The beer parlour calls for sharing Nigerians' wealth amongst her individual citizens ain't PER CAPITA INDEX. It's merely some stvpid insinuation from illogically illiterate disgruntled elements trying to raise storm from a coffee cup. They hear trillions and quickly badmouth a certain government, calling the said government out for mismanagement and erroneously proclaiming how certain millions of naira could've gotten to an individual citizens if shared across board.
I still heard someone on similar argument this morning while stopping by to get THE NATION newspaper at a stand. Of course that's not the root of SOLUDO's claim but it's always the illusion of majority of the citizens whenever a huge amount, embezzlement, or financial recovery is announced. Instead of clamouring how such should be or should've been channeled to developmental use, some !diots keep asking why the money couldn't have been shared, calling out outrageous figures they thought each individual would get. Unfortunately, many low IQ listeners drank it in and goes around feeling cheated even while the said money is being used for infrastructural upgrade.

That's yearly allocation... Oya open your calculator, divide by 12 and get your monthly allocation.
That's 13,461

I have modified the post anyway.

Believe it all at your own peril and demise.
So it's this #2500 that is been stolen by some States Governors that after 8 years the EFFC and others are going after them for fraud and stealing the States money.
Soludo did not include the monies received as security vote, that is not part of FAAC or IGR.
You'll hardly come across any governor who doesn't tell lies especially when it involves defending the undefendable and making the unbelievable become believable.

Soludo is someone I have respected since he was the CBN governor. But he's wrong on this. Anambra receives the same allocation as Edo. If Edo can pay 70k as minimum wage, so also can Anambra. nobody asked him to give money to everyone in his state. just pay your civil servants better. This was sophistry.

Moreover, 2,500 by 8m is a mere 20 billion, which is about one-tenth of his State allocation and IGR put together. So, Soludo your math is not mathing.
wrong , Anambra does not get 20b monthly, do your research. They get 8b from FAAC in May and generates around 2b internally. People on social media throw figures around, peddle misinformation and abuse people without doing their due diligence.

If that's the case, how do these governors get billions of naira that they always loot. Someone tell me how
Soludo is been smart by half, just multiply 2,500 by 8.5 million the value alone is less than quoted FAAC allocation by ministry of finance that's less IGR and he wanted people to believe this lie. If he complains lack of enough funds against projects he might have a case not these "abadabidi arithmetic"

Anambra Monthly Allocation
161,540,000,000
Anambra Monthly IGR :2,800,000,000
Anambra Population from Soludo: 8,500,000.

Each citizen in that state will get 19,334 naira.
This is not the civil servants but everyone residing in the state.

Someone is lying
Anambra monthly allocation is not up to 161b, please stop peddling misinformation, almighty Delta state with the highest allocation gets just 38b monthly, Anambra gets less than 10b monthly.

I failed to divide by 12 months and I have modified that which still keeps it at 13,461 naira.

Note that He is not paying the entire Anambra state just the civil servants.

Here is what Soludo said...

Sometimes, I just wish that I can give every resident of Anambra maybe a million naira each to ameliorate the hardship that we have, but the reality is that if we get our entire revenue in a month, both from FAAC and from our IGR and put it on the table, call all our estimated 8.5 million residents and share it, nobody will get up to N2,500

He's not taking about workers/minimum wage which is where you are driving to, he's lamenting about the economic hardship Tinubu subjected Nigerians to .

Now, how much would Osun people which is your state of Origin get if you share your IGR to entire Osun citizens?

I listened to the man. He spoke with extreme wisdom, cos he was asked to talk about minimum wage when this statement was made.

This remark was to buttress his point that we are a poor nation. He based his data on revenue and population.

Let all this tribal and political attacks be stopped. We need to think of solutions not jabs that will not help anyone.
Omoluabi! Seriously when I see comment like this it always give me hope

The sad truth.

Labour have to be reasonable in their negotiations
Labour is already going beyond its mandate and running fowl of the law.

The minim wage law only expects the tripartite committee to recommend a minimum wage ,based on democratic principles.Majority of committee members two out of three have N62k.

The minimum wage law did not empower labour to dictate the minimum wage or go on strike based on minimum wage recommendations that is based on the committee’s recommendation.

Salary negotiation does not imply that labour must have its way!

We can only sympathise with labour and employees, but the truth is that you cannot force your employer to pay what it cannot afford, you either go along or resign.

Aight, I understand....Many Nigerians suffer from wilful ignorance. We're on a very Long way to development if a substantial population has such mentality, sadly.

Rubbish trash. Only a brainwashed delusional low IQ IPOB retard like you will not understand his basic message. He's basically saying that the state is poor and is not as rich as olodos like you try to portray the state on social media.
No need for long story. The state is poor, end of story.

Only IGR generated monthly in Anambra can pay workers and build infrastructure without allocation. When Ngige was a governor,he made us to understand that Anambra State can work without federal allocation.

Perhaps, the money he supposed to loot isn't enough..... Rubbish!!

Hehe......Even with small population and very small land mass huh Anambra state is poor niyen.

This Governor Soludo is so brutally frank although I have always known that he will struggle as a state Governor if he approaches his role with his previous experience and mindset of a CBN Governor who has access to endless flow of cash in the vault.

At least Anamba has revenue to share. ......Lagos has a lot of debt to share on the other hand, how much debt will every Lagosian collect when her 2 billion dollars is shared among its estimated 20 million inhabitantshuh Is irmt not 1000 dollars or even 2000 dollars?
