Every thing na hate to some of una. Which eastern state is larger than Bayelsa? None. Eastern states are just lucky to have more productive residents and better leadership than Bayelsa.
Hmmm I don't know that you ve gone to five eastern states before. please do me a favour use Google ask the smallest states in Nigeria that will end our argument

Imo River is a joke to you? Google it
I said sea, you said river.
Does a river have direct access to the sea?
Use your head to think.

More photos.
The only flyover in Yenagoa is the Berger flyover( leading to Ijaw House, Local Content Towers and CBN) is same in the picture. This picture should be when the flyover was recently completed.
Worthy to note that the flyover has a new look now, thanks to NCDMB for the good artistic works on the flyover columns.

Bayelsa is bigger than 10 Nigerian States

See this Map.

Oya tell me what you mean by tiny.

Despite the fact that Bayelsa is a very new State doesn't make it small all because it's among the newest States.
Big but the larger part is consumed by water. I’m sure that’s what he meant
Re: Beautiful Pictures Of Yenagoa, Bayelsa's Capital City by SoaringLife01: 11:06am On Jun 14, 2024
SoNature:
Considering how tiny this state is and the amount that comes in in federal allocation, Yenagoa should be finer than this.
You said it all.Yenagoa as a state capital doesn't look it at all. It has a special terrain( swampy and waterlogged) and the state government is yet to take the development of the city serious.
Till date, the Epie Creek is yet to be dredged. Overflowing of the creek during rainy season is the major cause of flooding at the areas along the creek in Yenagoa.

By no of LGAs, Bayelsa State has the lowest no- just 8 LGAs.
Bayelsa State deserves more. The political leaders need to do more.

Bayelsa is so big and I never realised this, why does Bayelsa not have a Sea Port?

This is so unbelievable, there are so many things about Nigeria that I am ignorant of. Sincerely if the British comes to take over Nigeria for just 10 years, Nigeria will transform totally.

We are a disgrace cry
You said it all.Poor vision of the political leaders.

Mehn I miss the old nairaland, where you enjoy reading the comments cos you are sure of learning something new from intelligent folks. Now it's a different ball game, if it's not one of the headless mob insulting his president or wishing bad on his country, it's a dick measuring contest.

Have you lived in yenagoa that you call it's land low valued or planted and it didn't yield...you just come on social media and drop the first thing at the fore front of your brain...

It is doomed forever. There's no logical reason for someone to live in or do business there other than being a native. They land is low value and infertile, weather is bad, worst pollution in w/Africa, high poverty, high illiteracy, kidnapping, etc[/quote]

No state capital in the east that can match Ibadan in term of general development in Nigeria.. choose your best capital city in the east and compare what they have with ibadan... from hospital, university, companies, research institute, mall, radio stations , sports and recreations, government organisationss etc
Yet your people lives in endless brown roof mud houses??

Radio stations are now development indices?😂

GorillaApp:
Are you based in warri at all? Warri developed? Maybe you have not travelled to better climes and location. Warri is underdeveloped. Warri, Effurun, okpe are all underdeveloped considering the inflow from FG and IGR. You never really see developed lands or you just dey support paymasters. So you dug borehole for 45k is development? The water table in parts of warri is high. When my septic tank was being dug, water came out and we couldn't dig it to the recommended depth. I once dug a hole for cloth line with a cutlass and water came out! Sapeleboy is correct. The amount of money coming into delta state is not commensurate to the progress being seen. That's the basic fact
Once again, say what u know. I was born and brought up in Warri. Yes, not as developed as the western world but definitely not as bad you are trying to paint it. Rest with your water depth story. Visit other states then u Will appreciate Warri and delta state as a whole

Am not a yoruba boy and a lot of estate and GRA in ibadan that they sell plot of lands above 100m... So to let you know development beyond blood money building and drugs building springing up in your villagaes that nobody reside there.. and a city that can have more than 40 radio station showed that a lot of businesses is going on in the city. Ibadan still better in everything than all your capital city.. that the fact i want you to know. *
*Since you were born have u seen where they are playing polo before? Village boy see ibadan people enjoying life... show me one capital city in east that have good recreation facilities
*the second pics is golf club and only ibadan have 3 different golf club.. village boy which of you city can boost of this??
*UCH one of the best hospital in Africa tell me your capital city that have such development
*That building was built back in 1982 for offices space not even hotet and till 2024 show me any office building in your capital city that look like this?

You guys are really slow.

Let me educate you... size of state or place doesn't =development or progress of the state or place.

Do you know Lagos is the smallest state in Nigeria yet the most developed?

Do you know Niger state is 30 times bigger than London but London is 50000 times richer than Niger?

Size of place doesn't matter if the people living there are not productive.

North has the largest states yet produce the largest beggars and poor people.

Why can't they use all of that plenty land to grow agriculture products?

Answer: only 1% of the land is fertile and only 0.5 of their population is productive
You have never traveled out of the east right?

Bayelsa is 508 kilometers square larger than Imo and Anambra States put together.
But Anambra state is 3 to 4 times more populated, at least double the GDP of Bayelsa, more industrialized, educated etc in any spheres or indices of development. Comparing them with Ebonyi can be acceptable because they are young states as well as Anambra which was created in 1991. Land size is nothing but human and material redources. Bayelsa monthly allocation could be sometimes 5 to 10 times higher than Anambra and even three times more than the whole SE but you wonder the underdevelopment there. Don’t argue with me with the statistics above but confirm. Bayelsa is not doing well at all despite the wealth of that state.

This grazing field is what you call an airport?? Are you not ashamed??

Ondo has shores for seaport without any foundation or even block moulded??

The thing is that you guys have not yet realised how backwards you've retrogressed.

I haven't seen any vibrant city anywhere in the world without an airport, that SE five plots of land have 4 airports.

BossGerald:
So that picture you posted is good looking, is brown roofs the standard for development in your region??

That environment is an eyesore

Migrants from Bayelsa and other states close to you made ibadan overpopulated, it’s not rocket science. Ibadan is accommodating, your Bayelsa isn’t . I never see Oyo state born for Bayelsa , but I had 2 bayelsans in my sec school, na Ibadan be una America cheesy

BossGerald:
Ibadan is just an overpopulated town...imagine your airport?

As big as Oyo state is, this is all they could come up with as an airporthuh

It's best you tell the truth the way it is. I was born and raised here too. Warri is not as developed as it ought to be considering the inflow. This is the basic fact. Let's not shy away from.it. we are giving this politicians the belief that we are satisfied and ok with their performance. I appreciate the water issue. The borehole I sank cost me 170k which is far cheaper compared to Benin or east. Let's be factual
