Maria96:Not entirely true. Lots of nurses were employed by the AHS (Alberta health service) the only quirk is that you need to have a BSN. There are also agencies recruiting nurses for support worker roles, but they often charge an arm and a foot. Upwards of 6k usd . You can search out “Allison Jones” agency in Canada (this is not a personal endorsement. However a few have successfully used them to get work permits from naija). |

oyetunjibaba:So your best bet is to join the pool and hope Ontario does another healthcare draw soon or the federal does a healthcare targeted draw. Your chances of securing these are great with a minimum of 1 year experience in healthcare |

oyetunjibaba:Go and apply to Newyork board of nursing for a license and then write your Nclex. From there, there would be a million and one agencies willing to take you on. Hopefully the retrogression would have improved by then. You can do this alongside your express entry. |

Hello All, When you apply for your PR on Express entry inside canada. How long does it take to get BIL and Medicals after AOR, And when application is approved do you also get PPR or what documents is issued? To show your application is approved. Is there anyone that went through this route that can explain the detailed steps from AOR |

I understand, but that is the cheapest option you have. Although, you can enter the express entry pool, but you are losing a lot of points with 6.5 in writing, and with what is going on now we need to get the highest possible point. Use the CRS calculator to check how many points you will have if you have a 7 or 7.5 in writing. I don't know how much remarking is, but it's a risk worth taking and it's way cheaper than rewriting. ellapius: |

| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Bibitayo2: 11:15am On Jun 17, 2024 |
I asked her to remark writing not listening. Moreover, only writing and speaking can be remarked. You can't remark listening and reading. luckygirl02: |

Remarking writing when she didn't get at least 8 in listening is pointless. Her 7.5 in listening means she lost 50 points, a positive 7.0 writing remark will only add 8 points. Bibitayo2: |

The title of my current role is Admin Service Manager but most of my JD(job des) is Admin Officer although I perform some services on Admin Service JD. I can get letter from my company for either. Bibitayo2:I understand you are trying to help but anything less than LRWS 8777 reduces her points significantly. So it wouldn't matter if her writing changes from 6.5 to 7. |

IyawoTM:I don't know what the application is based on the v-9 digits but I suspect the agent put in a visitor visa application for you/family. Express entry is one of the easiest applications to apply for if all requirements are met. Express entry application is the easiest thing I applied for in my journey to Canada and I'm sure others will attest to it. Renting a house in canada or getting a job in the desired field is more stressful than the express entry application. A visit visa grants no right to work and the agent may be setting you up for multiple challenges in Canada |

mike2130:Based on your post it appears both you and the agent don't know what you're doing. Since this wall is for permanent residency application via express entry I'm not sure visit visa responses will be well detailed here. But Canada and other western countries are not necessarily middle men countries like Nigeria where you use an agent for virtually everything. Here people live everyday trying to figure out a way around there issues and visa application is one of the easiest things to do without the need of a middle agent |

aurorae1:Reading through comments on this topic gives me a clearer picture on why many of our people struggle when they get to canada while a few flourish and flourish. Nigerians can be very lawless and don't like to follow due process. Agents are popular because people are looking for a short cut. Agents will continue to prey on them. |

Maria96:I got a job in Canada from outside Canada. However, I already had a COPR and didn't require visa sponsorship. I just didn't want to go to Canada and spend money without a job. Hence it is possible to get a job in Canada (online) from outside Canada but I don't know if this applies to jobs that require a visa sponsorship |
