Two Persons have been killed and three others injured in a road accident that occurred along Sagamu, Ijebu-Ode Road.

The Crash which involved an Ash Howo Truck with no registration number and a Blue Toyota Camry car with registration number APP478FS, occurred at about 11:28 am on Sunday.

Spokesman Of The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun State, Florence Okpe, who confirmed the accident to journalists in Abeokuta, said the rescue operation was carried out by a team from FRSC Zebra 50 of Ijebu Ode Unit Command.

She blamed the accident on overspeeding and loss of control, which led to the collision of the two vehicles.

Okpe said, “The crash involved 2(two) vehicles with the following details, Ash Howo Truck with no registration number and Blue Toyota Camry Car with registration number APP478FS.

“Five People were involved in the crash. One male adult and four female adult. A total of two people were killed, one male and one female, while three females were injured.”

She added that the injured victims were taken to General Hospital, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, while the corpses were deposited in the morgue.

The Sector Commander, CC Anthony Uga, while sympathizing with families of the victims, advised motorists to desist from overspeeding and give total attention to driving.

These wicked leaders will go abroad for tourist when our mothers, father's, brothers and sisters are in the IDP camps because terrorists have taken over their community.

These useless leaders will be on medical tourist while our mothers and fathers are dying in the hospital either due to constraints in finance or the innability of the Nigerian hospital to handle their cases.

May God punish all of them

Over Speeding....

I remember one day I drove like a mad man,
Finally calm to a zero halt asked myself if I was driving to kill myself or some other person.... After then, I slowed down...

That road needs urgent intervention; I don't know why govt and the contractor RCC have been so slow in it's reconstruction. I remember talking with one of their staff around 2020 in Ijebu-itele. He boasted that road won't be finished in the next 20years. I don't know if he's talking for a fact or a real conspiracy. The minister of works should look into that road. Same with Ibadan-Ife/Ilesa express. By now that road should have been dualised up to Akure or Owo in order to link up the Okene/Lokoja/Abuja express. And these trailers are a menace on our roads. Yet Dangote still wants to pump in more trucks into our roads. It is well...May God comfort the families of the departed ones. Amen!

Those drivers that ply that shagam/ ijebu axis are too reckless a unreasonable. You go dey warn them especially when they are trying to overtake trailer in a narrow road them no go answer you.infact them go insult you.i hope they have sense
