What commitments have the politicians made themselves before expecting sacrificing from the citizens? |

They refused to cut down cost of governance. Tinubu has the most bloated govt cabinet in history. Took a large wasteful delegation to UNGA(including his son, ashawo-seeking govt officials to New York). They are busy with institutionalized corruption with some govt officials, Ministers and many customs senior officers indicted in corruption but no retributive justice done. Meanwhile, this same hawks in government are padding budgets, eating/travelling with billions, subsidising hajj with 90B, buying presidential yatch/jet, renovating VP Lodge with #21B. Yet they can't pay workers a decent minimum wage in the heat of their self-inflicted miserable economic woes. Wicked souls

The citizens should sacrifice with our lives since we're too poor already why Tinubu and his minions embezzles billions of public money. One day, the poor would eat the rich in Nigeria. |

I disagree, Mr. President. What sacrifice is the NASS making by increasing it's budget by over 70% between last year and this year? When will the legislooters make sacrifice to inspire the masses do the same. While the people are sacrificing to the bones the legislooters are living in opulence riding the latest 2024 SUVs. They are not even feeling the inflation because they have cornered the nations resources for themselves. Same applies to all politicians at the federal, state and local govt levels. What new infrastructure does the nass build to demand such humongous appropriation if not to milk the country dry. Mr. President, you must address the cost of governance starting with the legislature. |

| Re: Nigeria Needs Sacrificing Citizens To Progress – Tinubu by ElSudani: 9:10am On Jun 17, 2024 |
Bobloco:The fuel subsidy wrecked the economy. Removing it was a bold action needed to redirect the economy towards a more productive one. The ensuing inflation is the reason why every president before him chickened out from doing it. The economy can only grow from now, stronger and more resilient than before. He didn't ruin the economy, he rescued it from total collapse. |

Someome that is collecting almost a million naira everyday as food allowance is talking about sacrifice. 21 billion naira for vicepresident house. Selfish, greedy misleaders of Tinubulation. Babablu we hail thee. |
| Re: Nigeria Needs Sacrificing Citizens To Progress – Tinubu by Bobloco: 9:15am On Jun 17, 2024*. Modified: 5:03pm On Jun 17, 2024 |
ElSudani:Fuel subsidy didn't wreck the economy. What wrecked the economy was it's mismanagement and its subsequent thoughtless so called removal by Tinubu |
| Re: Nigeria Needs Sacrificing Citizens To Progress – Tinubu by ElSudani: 9:32am On Jun 17, 2024 |
Bobloco:It did. It was like a bribe to keep Nigerians happy while things were actually going bad. It was mismanagement when you spent billions subsidizing fuel consumption while more important sectors like agriculture were virtually neglected. The results are what you are seeing today when any little changes can throw the economy off. It got so bad that all our refineries were dead and we had to import fuel! We simply can't continue like that. If all the money spent subsidizing fuel was spent on Agriculture we would have excess food to export by now rather than cries of hunger everywhere. |
| Re: Nigeria Needs Sacrificing Citizens To Progress – Tinubu by Bobloco: 9:42am On Jun 17, 2024 |
ElSudani:Since it's removal, where is the money saved from it |

Nigeria need 'Sacrificing Citizens' to succeed . . .Okay I agree on this take, we need to Sacrifice some people like 1. Helinues 2. Mannababaqgrillz 3. Yarimo 4. Abado crew For Nigeria to succeed , but the issue is we do not know if they are indeed Nigerian Citizens at all so our sacrifice would be accepted ![]() |

Yeah...it always bore down to citizens and not leaders ....very stupid comment for me |
| Re: Nigeria Needs Sacrificing Citizens To Progress – Tinubu by ElSudani: 9:52am On Jun 17, 2024 |
Bobloco:When Tinubu took office the previous administration had no budget for it because there was no money left. Did you think the government opened an account and continued to pay the money into it? No, the money is going to meeting other financial obligations like paying down our debts, meeting the monthly allocation to states and keeping the economy afloat. |
| Re: Nigeria Needs Sacrificing Citizens To Progress – Tinubu by Chikel20000(m): 9:53am On Jun 17, 2024 |

| Re: Nigeria Needs Sacrificing Citizens To Progress – Tinubu by Gbogbowa: 9:59am On Jun 17, 2024 |
If you fall for this then you are gone , Tinubu knows he has lost it all now using this as a means to context for second term |
| Re: Nigeria Needs Sacrificing Citizens To Progress – Tinubu by Bobloco: 10:00am On Jun 17, 2024 |
ElSudani:Your assertion is totally different from what is on the ground The Tinubu administration keeps borrowing despite not paying for subsidies. So I ask again, where is the money saved from subsidy removal?
