What does Wike want? Why must he out of greed plant landmines in the name of structure all because he wants to perpetuate himself in power? This is sad and heart-wrenching. Wike should give Rivers State a breathing space. |

Cmanforall:The pro-fubara group are only fighting that the governor be allowed to appoint CTC chairmen just the way his predecessors have done.... Which is against the constitution of the country. The 27 member SHA members before all this drama escalated had earlier informed the governor Fubara some good couple of months to conduct a LG election but the governor is adamant like all his predecessors to follow on his path of CTC. It would be chaos for the governor if the cases at court, both of the 27 SHA members and the autonomy of the LGAC goes against him. It would be chaos for him. PBAT is not one given to such insolence and careless stupidity and foolishness exhibited by all. |

givedemwotowoto:Who caused it? Ask Peter Obi. Thank God his Yes Daddy audio conversation with Pastor Oyedepo is still in circulation. Also, his votes from the SE is evidence of tribalism. |

Nonsense youths that do not even know Nigeria constitution about local government election. The law says, there must be 360 days notice for all parties involve in local government election before local government election can be held. If you like protest from now till 6months, local government election can't be held. You better go to farm to ensure production of surplus of food in the land |

Economic power is political power. After Lagos state and Kano state Rivers state governor is the 3rd most powerful governor in this country. Those are 3 governors the FG does not joke with, just go to the gdp and check their contributions. Go to election results and see their contributions. Go to FDI and see for yourself the amount they bring into the country. Last last the FG may disconnect from the less important person in this battle. |

When someone said thst the judiciary is the problem of Nigeria...I doubted him but it seems he is right anyways . I have been following two development that made me believe the judiciary is now a problem to democracy . Let me explain in details. Chieftancy affairs is within the state govt and has nothing to do with the federal govt . Sanusi was removed and he accept his fate ...but right now same law the used to remove Sanusi has been applied on someone and he refused to live . He went to federal High Court...a court thstnhas no jurisdiction over chieftancy matters . Secondly ...when the tenure of charge of local govt expires...they vacate the office and care taker will be brought in for the purpose of conducting election into the local govt . Instead of this me to live they went to court to stop them from exiting . Same court now informed them that there tenure has expired amending the constitution to remain in power us against 1999 constitution...our kaw says any law that run against the 1999 constitution cannot stand . The pont I am making is if our judiciary know all this why then do day accept allow another court to entertain same case .? We cannot continue like this cos it will make people to lose confidence in our judiciary ....This might lead to anarchy . |

With the tension now in Rivers, Fubara's group will lose PDP tickets to contest the Local Government elections (and he shouldn't think, for now, of using another party to win the seats). This will create more chaos in the state and he, Fubara, will most likely lose the state's politicalstructureto pro-Wike group. Of course, he should conduct the elections as soon as the tension is lesser than it is now bixton: |

So you still have confidence in our judiciary? Dey play! The problem will have in our country is because of lack of effective judicial system and rule of law. Man from antiquity has tendency for criminality and vices. It is only through the instrumentality of constitution/law and moral code can these be abated which is why judiciary was put in place but here in Nigeria our judiciary uphold evil and reward illegality. I lost hope on them after they were bought over in 2023 general election. When it was obvious that election results were mutinated and rigged and they went ahead to legitimize Tinubu selection by rigging machine called Prof. (Prof. my foot) Yakubu M. greggng: |

Senioreddy:Young for saying this, you don't know Rivers State. Wike has lost it big time, it's a pity many innocent people will die over this issue. Fubara is the 001 of Rivers State and there nothing anyone can do about it. Wike is small small to hold Rivers at ransom, he cants we dare him. He is on a lost battle. He wants the president to declare State of Emergency in Rivers, but if Tinubu dares to do that, Rivers State will burn |

Please Gov. SIM, anyone that tries nonsense, instruct the police men to fire them. Enough is Enough. Who is Wike and those puppets? His plans is a State of Emergency, but he has failed because Rivers will be so hot for him to stay. Let heaven falls today, Fubara is the Governor and nothing anyone can do about it. |

phantom:That's quite a claim! Are you saying the region filled with unknown gunmen, kidnappers, touts, corrupt officials, drug abusers, and human traffickers is the most developed in the south ? Why would I ever consider going there? Traveling to the east feels as risky as driving from Kaduna to Abuja, where the chances of being kidnapped or attacked are alarmingly high. |
