A good comment . But we do that in my family though. Even when baba jakande was alive, he was always donating to the Christian fold during Christian festivities, politics apart. Sincerely speaking, I wouldn't know why such kind gestures were not common among other Muslims to their Christian counterparts. This isn't an offence just an observation.

To a great extent I know the tenets and as a christian. If I were to follow the family tradition, I'd have been a sheik today and I don't think there's anywhere in the holy book where giving to Christians is forbidden. I stand to be corrected.

I am not a Muslim and I doubt it is written anywhere in the Quran. It was when I travelled and met a Muslim from the middle east that I learnt there is nothing wrong with a Christian saying it to a Muslim. But here in northern Nigeria, I have heard many Muslim preachers saying you don't have any business wishing a Christian peace

I am a Christian who have transversed the length and breath of the north, and I can tell you free of charge that the Northern muslim is the most sincere and kind loving Nigerian! U can go and verify! I am a Christian northerner, I was born and raised in northern Nigeria, in addition to that, I have lived over 90% of my life here, I have survived religious riots and have lost friends and loved ones no thanks to the negative hospitality of your sincere, kind and loving Muslim northerners. I have sought refuge alongside my parents and siblings for over a week in a hospital while they jumped from house to house killing and maiming.
My friend was strangled in a University! by those hospitable lots. Incase a southerner is tempted to believe you, they should quickly remember how the hospitality of your kind friends led to the death of those young southern coppers in 2011 after GEJ won at the polls.
Now if any Christian southerner does not believe that Muslim northerners don't reply christians when we say salamualaikun, then when next you are in the Muslim north, establish your identity as a Christian, wear your shirt and jeans, hold your Bible and tell 10 of them salamualaikun and tell me how many of them replied you. I don't hate them, I am just telling the truth.

I live here in northern Nigeria, Nasarawa State to be precise, my neighbors 90% core northern Muslims and they respond to me when ever I chant assalamualaikum! Infact that's what they greet anytime they knock on my gate! So which brand of Muslims are those ones? Which state in the North in recent history they were slaughtering Christians from house to house? You can dislike Muslims or better put northern Muslims, but don't come online fabricating lies in an already polarized state! I lived in kaduna at the hight of insecurity in 1999/2000.. so I can tell u alot about insecurity up here, Muslims killed where they had upper hands and don't pretend as if Christians were not killing Muslims where they were dominant!
When you mentioned Jonathan's victory in 2011, I immediately knew you are one of those PDP loving Christians who politicize everything! Tell me which state they were slaughtering Christians from house to house and what year! I also lost friends and family in crisis emanating from the north, both Christian and Muslim friends .

Nasarawa state is a majority Christian state. I was born in Zaria, I spent almost a decade schooling in Bauchi. My friend was killed in Bauchi. I insist, let anyone here that is tempted to believe you go to Muslim dominated Bauchi, Kano or Zaria, dress casually and say salamualaikun to 20 random Muslims and tell me how many of them replied him with alikuwa sallam. You said I am a PDP loving christian? I supported Buhari with devotion in 2015. This nairaland account of mine was opened in 2016 if not you will see how I was religiously defending Buhari when other christians were attacking him. I think in a sophisticated way, beyond ethno-religious realms. You see, that is why I feel happy calling you pathetic. Where do you know me?
