Yola as a state capital have come of age from a very long long history. It was actually the formal capital of the then GONGOLA State. Soon after the military government as at then created more states. Gongola states was created into Adamawa state and Taraba state. The present Adamawa state took the old capital Yola as their capital while Taraba state took Jalingo as their capital. |
