IBB set the stage for Abiola's imprisonment. If he didn't annul the June 12 election, I doubt Abiola would have been imprisoned for trying to reclaim his stolen mandate. He is the root cause of all this political imbroglio in Nigeria in the aftermath of his decision to annul that election

Abdulmumini Abiola was a very small boy back in the early 1990s, so, he isn't saying ANYTHING new here. It was public knowledge to us back then that Kola Abiola and Ibrahim Babangida's oldest daughter by Maryam Babangida were seeing each other.

Circumstances led them not to get married.
