We sell our land to Okeke, we use the money to call Wasiu and party.
When the money finish, we demolish your house and sell the land to Okafor.
We use the money for Ojude Oba.
When the money finish, we call Nwosu developer to build plaza and we sell shops to Nwa boy.
Once money finish, we throw fire inside the plaza and demolish. We turn am to market.

You are hopeless fools without sense and we will keep playing you.
We have our differences with these people but this isn't a nice thing to say, chief.

I am a northerner and I did my NYSC in Ijebu-Ode. I went to this festival during my service year.

I was very colourful and beautiful. I enjoyed myself so much because Ijebu people are very very hospitable
You can say that again. And, oh, forget anything you hear about us online, it's all of Yoruba, not only Ijebu, that's hospitable. Some others are even hospitable to a fault. Those you see who slander and libel us, they come to our lands and rent and buy homes and places where they make money, and we don't dish them hate, we never have a reason to, we're bigger than that. It's probably envy that makes them hate us.

I have a Yoruba father and an Ijaw mother but I don't like african culture. It doesn't freak me at all
That's fine too, dear.
Although, considering how bland most of the western cultures are, it's surprising to hear this. It's okay anyway.

An Anambra man will not sell land to an Enugu or Ebonyi man, but Yorubas welcome everyone even those idiots who now insult us, but you are here opening your mouth to tell me it isn't a nice thing to say.

Pls, in the future, ignore my post. Thank you.

I likewise have some reservation for those words. but you see, these guys you're holding forte for will never rest or hold anything back just to get on your nerves.
They're ready to throw every dirt and tantrum, libel and lies at you just to make themselves feel good at your detriment!
So allow the guy you quoted to pay them in their own coin!

I kuku know them like the back of my hands. I'm just being conscious enough that we don't come down their level ni. Much as annoying as they could be, it's kinda like how you'll find it hard for the eagles to be dragging with the vultures.

Don't mind the foolish boy.
People insult Ooni, Adeboye, Kumuyi, Akintola, Soyinka, every damn person, but one boy is telling me what I'm saying is not nice.
Assuming his father dead how they regularly wish Tinubu, I'll see if he would be so calm.

2023 election changed a lot of things and these ungrateful economic refugees from across the Niger will see shege.

You see the game these economic scavengers from Igboland are playing, we will show them that we are their masters.
No one has the monopoly of insults and mischief.

Since I hammered them with that post, did you see any of them quote me to talk nonsense again? No.

That is how you handle wild animals.

At this time when we should ask questions and be in solidarity over the current state of the nation, some sect are displaying affluence and wealth?!! If it's not well with my neighbor it can't be well with me!??

That disaster looming over our heads is enough reasons to shove this cultural day and send a signal that all is not well with the masses!

Awujale !! should know how much garri ijebu cost now and ask if u can eat tuwo again !

Pommo ijebu is virtually non existent and over priced yet he presides over this day ?!!
Reason why I love the whites, they don't sleep with fire on their roof and solidarity and countenance matters to them !!

I see no glory but shame in the Yoruba land, imagine world statistics says food shortage and scarcity is about to hit the south west !!
SW that boast of abundant harvest and surplus!

Naaaa!!! There is nothing to celebrate unless these ppl are selfish unconcerned and in diaspora!

I am omo oloowu oduru and I know what am saying
Who come ask you all this jargons wey you write so? If hunger dey wire you, go on the dustbin and pick left over.

No use your lamentation spoil this thread abeg.

This is not a comparison between eagle and vulture, it's about accepting the nature of a snake as a long dangerous rope. Any slightest hesitation you make will earn you a permanent tag - Coward!
Yorubas are currently paying for the hospitality/nicety shown to these periah after the civil-war.

Did you know that if Oluyinka Olutoye was an American, he would garner about as much recognition as Ben Carson?

I'm so proud to be a Yoruba, I swear. Class, elegance, growth, success, grit, social, vibes, hospitality, and strength are what our story represents. Big ups to you, if you're a Yoruba. You're the only of your kind. Keep marching.

Some of the most successful African alive have our blood and roots; Adenuga, Soyinka, Awolowo, Ogunlesi, Fela, Sade Adu, Anthony Joshua, Isreal Adesanya, Akintola Williams, F. R. A Williams, Funke Akindele, Folorunsho Alakija, K.S.A, Ayinde Barrister, Wizkid... just inexhaustible list.

Let me not mention football, 2023 UCL semi final had Yorubas on 3 starters of the 4 teams; Alaba, Akanji, and Fikayo; 2024 final has Adeyemi,... Musiala, Saka, and so on. Other sports nko? Adesanya Isreal says hi.

Did you know it's impossible to write the history of Africa without recognizing our important role in about EVERY of its facet, from Oyo empire, to slavery, to richest woman in Africa, to one of richest cities in Africa, to the first subsaharan to receive a noble prize, to a vanguard role in tech (Olugbenga Agboola and Tope Awotona)—it's an endless list.

Thing is I'm surprised how some Yoruba allow some things other people say get to them, unrealizing they're and have always had potentials to be bigger.

UI, Yabatech, OAU, first subsaharan Nobel Prize owner—chai, this education thing, leave am gve us(the cradle of west African education)—first stadium in Africa, first African TV station, first Nigerian club to win international competition, first professor in Nigeria, first teaching hospital in Nigeria, >½ of all Nigerian professors made in Yoruba land, tallest Nigerian building; inexhaustible list of Yorubas achievement.

Look, if you're a Yoruba, and you haven't thought about and walked the path of making yourself, your immediate environment better, then you're wrong! I make bold to say that.

Forget your natural disposition, you could be anything with and make a thing off it—see Portable (3 years ago, he was absolutely a guy you might call urchin, today he's everywhere and progressing with his demeanor), see Tems (as cool as a dove, yet making money and impact off her talent regardless). Do something for yourself, you're a Yoruba, have you forgotten the line of blood your forefathers stem from? Greatness is in you. Countless if your Yoruba likes are found in US and UK government. Wake up, do something.

That you're a female isn't an excuse, we're arguably the tribe with most successful women in Africa, from Azizat Oshoala, Funke Akindele, Mo Abudu, Tems, Tiwa Savage, F. Alakija, to many of female bank CEOs of Yoruba origins, and so on. Nothing is limiting you, you're a Yoruba! No dey dull, legally!

Damn, I just wanna make so much dough, be influential, marry a classy, beautiful, and educated Yoruba babe, attend these kind functions with her, and give this man a run for his swag(in my old age), as Omoluabi wey I be. grin cheesy
