Nigerian air force 1 can fly for another 20 years if maintenance is maintained constantly. Buying a plane is not a shortcut for maintenance you will need to maintain even the new one.

I'm sure there was a maintenance contract already in place otherwise we pay half. Look it's not like the plane or Airforce 1 N1 is a commercial plane no. How many countries have lost over 50 per cent of their GDP in under 10 years? Nigeria is the poverty capital of the world. What perks do Nigerians get from their government?

If Nigeria was well managed and poverty was reduced, the president could get whatever perk is necessary. This is not our situation. You cannot reward failure?
