Nigeria may at some point need to scale down Naira.
1 New Naira = 100 Old Naira

Ghana once did a similar thing.

Just for convenience though.

But today #100 can’t buy ordinary half bag of pure water undecided

I wonder how broke men are coping this period?.

Zonefree that used 1 boiled egg to celebrate Christmas last year even when the economy isn’t this bad, I wonder what he will use this year now that the economy is worse.

May God help them!
Shior!!!

The yams seen there at 14 naira would have been about 14 or 15 big sizes in those cement head pans, used by Abokis to sell them. A bag of rice was sold for 32 naira, so the 10 naira seen there should be about 6 or 7 derica cups, with the jara added.

Na Buhari // IBB // Abacha // Idiagbon scatter everything then as the military government.

it was . I remember back then same time up till 1987 my dad traveled to UK without visas, electricity was uninterrupted and food generally affordable for most people in Nigeria . Nigerians worries more then was armed robbery over ishola oyenusi, Anini and co and corruption in Babangida government over Dele giwa, Gloria okon, mamman vasta etc People travelled to US only for vacation or education and came back after they are finish. In the 80s nobody made merry more than Nigerians, every night was party , social clubs, merry , eating and dancing…nobody planned or thought about the future as nobody thought Nigeria will become like this in their wildest imagination. Infact if you meet anyone one above 70 years and relive the good old days of Nigeria they might start crying remembering how good it was then. ..the younger ones will not understand

The question is, were things cheap for the common man then?
I could show you newspaper clips from 1987 but what good would that do. Ever wondered why "the good old days" are so called? People only think things were better in the past because they become worse over time. But just because it is worse now doesn't mean it was good before. Few understand the difference.
