Far from it.. most of those criticizing your wack songs are far away from their homes to make sure things go smoothly for people like Eedris.

It's easy to sit down and criticize.. when faced with the challenge to fix things, what can you do?. Can you think critically or outside the box in extremely difficult situations?.
Talk is cheap.

Some of you can't even manage your small music groups of less than 5 artistes but expect the President of a country with over 230 million people to perform magic overnight with the spate of corruption and decay already in the system.

You talk about fixing things when your brother is only making things worse
Has it ever been this bad for Nigerians. Please can you tell us what he is doing differently?
How is he making things worse?.. the LGAs that are closest to the people have been hijacked by State Governors who don't want LGAs to have their autonomy despite the fact that they have their own autonomy from Federal Government.

Do you know how much allocations these State Governors are sitting on?.. monies that would have made impact in their communities and better lives of their constituents.
The weakest arguement is to blame FG and the President.
Re: Eedris: Those Who Don't Criticize Tinubu But Criticize My Song Are Happy Slaves by hotseat: 9:59am On Jun 21, 2024
The lyrics which contains acerbic and pungent criticism of the Government is immaterial as far as I'm concerned.

One may argue that the lyrics are neither here nor there but, the overwhelming economic atmosphere doesn't need an Eedris to tell Nigerians as it is self-evident.

He who feels it, they say, knows it!

The only anomaly is to live in self-delusion by pretending that all is well.

All is not well, this we know!

Stop making excuses for these people, he knew there was a problem that needed to be fixed,he was also aware of the fact that he will preside the affair of the over 230million people before he was saying(Emilokan) it's his turn. Now he got what he wished and instead of progressing, everything is on a Michael Jackson esque moon walk.

There is no big deal in all he said, it's not new. Fela said more but if you should give Fela or Edris the mantle of leadership we OBVIOUSLY know that they can't deliver.

Just to show how in general we have become mental slaves as a nation ... unable to think for ourselves. What was Fela Kuti singing about during his time? He became a legend. What was Bob Marley singing about during his time? He became a legend. The masses identified with them. What is Edris singing about?... the same Fela and Marley were singing about ... they were the voice of the masses... getting under the skin of the government... the government sparing no effort to silence them for speaking truth to power. Now here is Edris doing same ... and instead of the government trying to shut him down... the masses are the ones doing so. Why would he not say they are slaves ... who love to suffer and smile? How dumb can we be?

Happy and enslaved fools will never criticise Tinubu's calamitous government but let someone just come out to make any form of criticism, you'll see them troop out to defend their lord.

Nigeria may never get better if we keep having evil people in power and idiotic supporters backing them, even in the face of glaring economic deterioration and decline.

My brother we know the slaves. Infact they are the Israelites who refused to leave Egypt with Moses. They preferred to stay with Pharaoh in Egypt with all the maltreatment.

Many of them are here in Nigeria, they rather suffer and die in bad governance so far they have their tribes man in power. Anyway I know the worst is yet to come. This is no curse it's reality.

The weakest arguement is to blame FG and the President.
So you blame the inflation on the LGs.
You obviously don't know the function of a president.
The president is like a driver who leads the country in the direction he wants it to go.
How many countries do you know that got better because of the local government chairmen or the governors.
It's always the president that leafs.
So if you are happy to blame LG chairman and governors over your evil president, you are not ready to move forward.
Now here is the revenue sharing formula in Nigeria
FG 52.68 %
States 26.72%
LGs 20.60%
Now who should that the lion size blame? Do the maths before you reply
