After giving him a ride twice, I asked what happened to their car and he said they repossessed it. Because they missed their monthly payments.

Like a month later, the guy came to ask me for cold water and I gave him. Same week he came to ask to charge his phone and I helped him. Then on Sunday of that week he came to knock on the door telling me that they told him his wife was in my apartment.

Brother, I don't even recognize your wife, come in and search she is not here oo. Don't let anyone play us against each other. He did search and found and found nothing.

I left for church and advised him to be patient and settle whatever was going on between him and his wife.

Na so I go church, leave my mom for house. I dey church I just see my phone dey ring. I went out of church and returned my mom's call. After I left, the guy saw knocked and when mummy did not open, broke down the door.

Weather it was to attack mummy or to search again I don't know. But she was able to sneak out through the back door and called neighbour's for help. They called police but by the time they arrived he had fled.

I had to go back home. Involved the apartment and demanded that they moved us to a vacant one that same day. They said it was Sunday it would be hard. I told them this guy will definitely come back.

They fixed the door, changed the locks. But as night fell, I no gree sleep. I knew he would come back. So I was just watching TV to stay awake. Around 2 am, I heard a car approaching and stopped. I peeped out the window and saw him and another guy in the car and heard him say " This niggar is watching
TV. I'm gonna kill him this night.

My own OT of teenage years kicked in. I grabbed a knife, poured pepper in water and put off the light woke my mom in the other room, dialed 911 and was in the phone with them while waiting by the door.

He punched on the door kicked banged and screamed that I was going to die by his gun and i should come and open the door.

My own plan was simple, if you come in. I first blind you with pepper water turn back on the lights and stab your neck as many times possible then grab your gun put off the lights again and wait for the second guy in the car to come in.

Well after about 10 minutes of banging and shouting, the second guy told him that they should go that the cops will surely be on their way. He got back in the car and left.

Soon after the cops came about 6 of them and told me to open the door. I did with the knife still in my hand. Na so I dey hear " drop your weapon " with guns and flash lights in my face.

If they had not been calm and I was not talking to them as I opened the door they could easily have shot me thinking I was the intruder.

After every, they told me the guy was a drug dealer that was out from prison and was on parole and the woman was not his wife.

That she had got tired of him and moved out the apartment when he went to work. She had turned out the utilities. So their apartment had no lights,no gas and no water.

That explained why he needed to charge his phone, ask for cold water etc.

Some months later, they caught him and was asked if I want to press charges. I declined.

In retrospect I should have sued the apartment for negligence for not moving me out of the apartment that same day that I requested. Although we moved to another unit the next morning on Monday but we had to sleep in a hotel till morning.

I think the girlfriend was using me to taunt him. That's the only reason that I can think of for him to come after me.

Since then, I no dey too shine teeth with people or dey interested in knowing my neighbour's.

Before his death, Isiah was a neighbour to the accused and was an up-and-coming boxer.

The commencement of the hearing in the case of Nicholas Francis Xavier Giroux, 36, who shot dead a Nigerian boxer, is set for July 17.

He is charged with first-and-second-degree murder in the Nigerian, Isaiah Olugbemi's death.

Before his death, Isiah was a neighbour to the accused and was an up-and-coming boxer.

Nicolas who is said to have killed Isaiah will be held without bond, an Anne Arundel County judge decided on Thursday.

It would be recalled that Olugbemi was found shot multiple times Monday night in the area of Meadowmist Way and Stehlik Drive in Odenton.

Despite being rushed to Baltimore, he didn’t not survive the incident.

Detectives obtained video surveillance footage showing Giroux, walking directly to Olugbemi with a handgun before shooting him multiple times and fleeing the scene on foot, according to court documents.

According to the Police, Giroux confessed to the shooting on June 18.

Abraham Olugbemi, the victim's brother, was quoted as saying that Giroux was Isaiah Olugbemi's neighbour. He alleged Giroux threatened Isaiah Olugbemi at least two other times with a gun this year; once in January and a second time in June.

It was revealed that Giroux fired six to 14 shots at Olugbemi, paused and then fired at least three more times.

TBH, I minimize my interactions with many of them. Unless it's absolutely necessary I don't talk to you and don't smile unnecessarily.

There are plenty of psychos roaming around here. I almost got killed by my neighbor on 2016. Guy came to the door around 2 am. Thank goodness I was awake , had replaced the locks.

Immediately I noticed his precense, I put off all the lights and waited by the door in silence. As soon as he saw that I put out the lights, he knew I was waiting and was reluctant to break down the door like he did in the morning when I was not home and had gone to church.

Right. The most important thing is to be where God wants you to be. If you insist on staying in Nigeria when God wants you to somewhere else, or vice versa, you are out of line. Protection and safety is only in the place God sends you to.

There are two Nairalanders here who school in Russia atm and speak so well bout the country and also counter the racism talk of Russia. My uncle also schooled in Russia and spoke so well of them bfr his Demise

If I was good at learning languages, I'd pick Russia over America. Even atm, I'd pick any European country over America again and again.

Call the cops if confrontation is prolonged or you think violence is imminent.
