I don't think the write-up gave an impression that it was a sculpture of snakes.
Besides the write-up particular said "BIG BLACK SNAKE". Meaning it was 1 snake and not many snakes.

Also, the write-up said It was the walls that were destroyed in order to find the drugs. Where did u get the impression that it was inside the snake(sculpture) that the drugs were found?
