Coolsperm:Osun state is 70% muslim. It is the Yoruba state with the highest Muslim percentage. Despite this, the present governor is a Christian and his mom is Igbo. The governor's first wife is even Igbo. Yet, he waa elected governor. Yoruba can't be divided based on religion. A Yoruba Muslim is many times more like to marry a Yoruba Christian than a Hausa Muslim. He sees the Hausa man as Mala. Go to Lagos State Teaching Hospital. You'd be shocked at how many of the student doctors that wear Hijab. And those are the ones that choose to wear it. Many don't. Is it such students you want to go and marry a Hausa man who would keep her at home and prevent their children get educated from primary to university level? If an Okada rode over a Yoruba man, whether he is a Muslim or not is irrelevant. Okada were banned in Lagos because Okada riders murdered people in two different incidents. |

LillyandDaisy:This country will not leave such a project in a private company's hand for security reasons, otherwise railway would have been a private business. |

Kingray10:LAGOS already has plans for cable cars since FASHOLA administration but with other means of transportation still being incorporated into the system, that can and must wait. For now, it's BRT, metro trains, speedboats for waterways and monorail. |

PHAYOL81:Succinctly stated... That's VERY true. I read about the planned cable cars which were intended to connect areas on Victoria Island to Lagos Island. Former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode didn't get to kickstart the project and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu had COVID-19 (which led to unprecedented global lockdowns) to contend with in his first term and that slowed down global logistics and infrastructural developments thereby leading to massive spikes in inflation and the cost of new construction works and infrastructural deployments. |
