(Can't we make our agriculture departments useful and export like these countries while making billions in exchange? Or, we want to continue living in modern world with stone age mindset?)

That garlic, ginger, tomatoes you use everyday( products of China either directly or indirectly) are gmo. Years of trial and error to get the best by world renowned scientists.
