We're pricing a tokunbo jet for $100m and we're saying it's good bargain?? Why would any sensible country purchase a used plane for $100m when you can get a brand new one for less??

Is it your plane?, amebo. If they put down all the 600, you'd still open mouth like rat.
a plane is not what the country needs now and certainly not with taxpayers money.

Sheuns:
That plane can’t be worth $600M they put there.

It’s an old plane. If they accept $100M, means the plane is worth way less than what they quoted.

A brand new A330 Airbus is about $240M. This one is old and just fancied up, not like it has some hi tech stuff like the Air Force one.

A preowned Airbus A330 is about $19M. I wonder you Dey advise these out politicians. Can’t they just do a simple research.

A so called expert in the write up said if Nigeria buys it they can sell it twice or thrice the cost. The question is who will buy it?
a used plane can't even be sold thrice or twice the amount.....

As for research to buy the pj,they know what they're doing, nor be politicians in Nigeria.

LoL. You are contributing for the aircraft aunty. Every damned thing you buy in the market there is tax added to the price (especially the imported items), are you aware you are paying tax on every phone call you make and every data you buy? You are paying some tax whenever you pay for most of the services you are enjoying on daily basis.

Moreover, if you are from Niger Delta a large chunk of that money is bound to come from Niger Delta oil. A money that could have been used to develop Niger Delta region.

Go back to the story, it's not a used plane. If not for one thing, one thing, the owner never ready to sell am o. So, probably more like new one. Except the birthdate proves otherwise.

We have an existing presidential fleet. How is a new jet in the public's interest?

Keep defending your masters. Maybe one day he'll invite you aboard the jet, as a reward for your bootlicking.
The old jet is beyond maintenance oga..Do you still drive a 1993 toyota corolla??

Well, I wish that were entirely correct. You are contributing in one way or the other through taxes: either through the direct tax or the indirect tax. Who do you think indirectly pays for their lavish lifestyles, including the servicing of the debts they've incurred? You and I, through public funds which are partly sourced from taxpayers' money.

When a Valued Added Tax (VAT) of a commodity or service is increased, you get to pay more for that commodity or service and in that way, you are putting more of your money in the hands of the government.

Black man mentality is so absurd. But come to think of it......this man called Tinubu has a private jet or so before becoming the President. I think so anyway. I feel as a President that came in on the slogan of renew hope since hope itself was denied us by Buhari and Osinbajo with the collusion of Tinubu himself.....We or they ( Who voted for him) actually felt that he's coming to make a difference and not follow the normal level of Nigeria politicians and leaders which is putting burden on the masses and stealing money, making unintelligible expenses and been insensitive to the masses plights...
He is different alright, dude pinchent for luxury & show off is unmatched among all presidents since Nigeria was founded... Yacht, private jets, billions upon billions in presidential palaces, millions in expensive hotel fees even in countries we get houses for such occasions. it's like he just here to spend!

This is not a very sensible response. If you're Nigerian, then you and me have the same president, who's going to be using the plane (irrespective of who that person happens to be at any time). If you're not Nigerian, then you know whoever your president is.
