God’s original idea was for men and women to be equal and have same rights and powers in marriage. It was the sin of Eve that made God give headship in marriage to the man!

Genesis 3:16
16 To the woman he said,
“I will make your pains in childbearing very severe;
with painful labor you will give birth to children.
Your desire will be for your husband,
and he will rule over you.”

God cursed Eve for her sin - Painful childbearing and labour.
The second part of the curse was - ‘ Your desire will be for your husband ‘ - meaning all her life she will think more of the happiness and well being of her husband even if she has to sacrifice her own comfort and well being!
God also cursed her with rulership of her husband! (‘Your husband will rule over you’)

The above curses from God show that before falling into Sin , Adam and Eve were equal and they served each other selflessly! There was no ruler or head between them!
Now that Jesus has come and died for our sins and lifted the curse of Adam and Eve, I believe the original plan of God for men and women should be reinstated in every true Christian marriage!

Husbands and wives must see each other as equals and partners in the vineyard of God working together to raise godly children and a godly nation! God is an advocate of gender equality and that was his original plan!

the sin of Eve has absolutely NOTHING TO DO with it...Adam and Lillith were created equal, YES!!! but not Adam and Eve... Adam and Lillith didnt get along and fell out, so Eve was created because Adam needed a helper and she was made out of his ribs. you cant be equal to someone that was created out of your own ribs, come on.

Complementary purpose of both sex doesnt put any above the other. One was created as the head, the other, the helper.
Same way God gave some the ability as users of instruments and others creators of instrument, setting the stage for the division of labour concept that has brought so much advancement technologically to humanity.

Go back read your Bible. Stop misleading people. Before the fall, God made a statement while presenting Eve to Adam.
