sadly, as much as football is not mathematic, if you've watched Copa America matches these days, you will see that Argentina is on a different league playing against yeye teams like Chile/Peru and Canada. but if you watch Euro matches, some of these teams are tough. Slovenia who is virtually unknown in football is going head to head with some of the top teams... so as i said, its not that these top European teams are suddenly bad, its just that smaller European teams are getting better/stronger and more difficult to beat.

there is no question about the fact that Argentina is a great football team, but they certainly aint unbeatable as we can see from their WC track record: Germany trashed Argentina in the WC2010, Germany easily beat Argentina in the final of the WC 2014, France easily beat Argentina in the WC final of 2018... and in WC 2022 Argentina couldnt beat France after 120mins of football so it had to be decided upon the lottery of penalties. so again, when it matters, football is unpredictable but we all know who are the top teams...aka Germany, Brazil, Argentina and France...and close to the top we have Spain, Italy, England, Uruguay, Portugal (even though some may have had bad WC sometimes)

and the fact that these European teams are buying a few South American and African players makes European local players better. Messi or CR7 without playing in Europe would have been NOTHING! look at them now (although they are old now), they are playing for yeye leagues and both of them are NOTHING! same with Benzema and any other player at the top who suddenly goes to play for a yeye league.

percentages does NOT Matter, thats why you always have the same teams at the top.... you can have 100s of teams from south America (if it was possible) and the outcome will almost always never change.... Brazil, Germany, Argentina, Italy and France etc would be at the top.
