Hanna season 1 is solid 7.5/10 for me.
One of the things i love about this series is how they grew and got better as the episodes went on, this is how a series is supposed to progress, from a bit of a slow burner to an absolute thrilling blast.
One of my most high point about this series and any series whatsoever is the realistic angles the series gives and a little bit of a revealing facts about the world we live in which we really can't see in our news channels.
Buying babies from troubled single moms and then secretly training these babies into becoming spies and agents of an organised organisation controlled by the elites.
This whole season is just revelational and that's the realistic point i love about the series.

Thank heavens that the season 2 and three are already avaliable.
This is the advantage of waiting and binge watching a series.

I have the opinion that you enjoy series the more when you binge watch the series.

Since i am through with the entire season of Hanna season 1.
I am now binge watching the season 2 and at the same time binge watching a newly complete series called my lady Jane and i have discovered that, the absolute satisfaction i have experienced is just unbelievable.
More than waiting for each episodes to drop every week.

While it helps show networks in terms of trends and more views in dropping each episodes of series every one week, it is however less satisfactory to people that watches the shows.
The best way to totally enjoy a show to maximum satisfaction is when you binge watch the show and this is why i respect Netflix a lot.

I have decided to stop watching house of the dragons, power book 2 and mayor of Kingston because i am now team binge watch.

Let me use this opportunity to binge watch Hanna 2 and 3, my lady jane and other series like dark matters etc..
By the time i am done, the whole complete seasons of house of the dragons, power book 2 and mayor of Kingston would have been uploaded, so i can binge watch and enjoy.

You have no idea how more satisfactory and enjoyable it is to binge watch a show.
Having to wait from one week to another kind of take away the fun.

Binge watching might be good for a section of the viewers, but bad for the network overall. Episodic releases weekly, help in keeping buzz and fizz, especially for a very good show, sustained suspense for weeks keeps it fresh for longer. Many series are out every week, and it's easy to forget the one you just watched in one go.

And if you are an award oriented network, you'll will favor episodic releases, no surprises that HBO uses this method, and just look at their catalogue of awards compared to other networks.

Yup, mis interpreted would be the right word, as she saw signs but just mis read them.

But i totally hate how, The prince that was promised was such a huge concept in the books, and in the GOT series, it was just like a flinging afterthought ultimately leading to them leaving the true identity of The Prince that was promised in great ambiguity in the hand. TPTWP is supposed to lead the world from darkness, and at very stages of the show the most obvious candidates would have been Jon Snow and Danys, both from Aegon's bloodline, but in literal terms, I don't think any of them did lead the world from darkness, even though the Night King was an invention of the show, it was the most obvious darkness throughout the show, and he was killed by Arya, and it was infact Danys dragons that helped in bridging the wall for the white walkers. Jon snow or Danys would have been perfect with better writing, as their story is literally the Song of Fire and Ice.

After the show caught up with the books around season 5, they were kind of winging it from there, and ended up with a rather ambiguous ending. Mad over that S8 again.

Yep S8 was a travesty.

Do you know the prophecy of the prince that was promised is very similar to that of Azor Ahai from the far east where the Yi Ti are one of the dominant civilization. Melisandre is from there and she equated both prophecies to being the same thing and used them interchangeably.

But it is very interesting to me that 2 very similar prophecies exist on both ends of the continent with their own spin on it. Although the prophecy of Azor Ahai came first.

The world of ice and fire is very interesting when you go deep into the lore outside of westeros.

You have a weird jungle Sothoryos to the south. A dragon rider tried to map it but couldn't find the southern border calling it a land with no end.

You have the shivering sea which rumor has it there are ice dragons that breathe ice instead of fire.

You also have the bones which is a mountain separating Essos from the far east, guarded by three forts with women only fighters.

Then there is the Jogos Nhai east of the bones who are essentially like the dothraki but ride zebra like horses and elephants.

There's also the Empire of Yi Ti which is analogous to China. They too have an interesting lore. It is believed one of their emperor the bloodstone emperor caused the long night which was then ended by Azor Ahai. They also have the five forts which is similar to the wall in westeros which protects them from demons apparently.

Asshai where Melisandre came from, the city at the end of the known world. Its the most eastern and southern city. Its the centre of dark magic.

Even if she convinced Alicent, what would Alicent do exactly? Is she the one on the throne?

Alicent does not have the power to end the war...so it was a completely pointless meeting with no benefit whatsoever...

Imagine putting yourself and your entire cause at risk for nonsense...

I'm starting to think Rhaenyra is not just soft but becoming fôolish as well...
That is why she needs someone like Daemon at her side...

It seems like the only thing their meeting achieved was that now Rhaenyra would know that whatever she does next she had a right to...

But still a pretty unnecessary and fôolish risk that raises some eyebrows to the writing of this episode

Truth is neither Alicent and this version of Rhaenyra are good at the game of throne. They are playing it with their emotions rather than their head.

Alicent should have definitely had her captured if she was using her head and for Rhaenyra well you have made that point already.

But it does drives the viewers more to Rhaenyra's side which is what they were going for I guess.

I didn't see anyone lose support for Daemon for the death of the baby.

I'm just hoping that now that Rhaenyra knows her father never changed his mind, she will be more determined and she will feel vindicated for everything she does next

The latest HOTD episode might seem [b]slow paced or even uninteresting, [/b]but imo it is like one of the most important episodes so far in the entire show, that has ramifications not just for HOTD but for GOT as well.

King Viserys I on his deathbed, high and delirious from the milk of the poppy, repeats, Aegon the conqueror's dream of A song of Fire and Ice to Alicent (and in the delirium, thinking he was speaking to Rhaenyra), talking about the Prince that was promised, and this dumb broad Alicent, thought Viserys was speaking about her useless son, also named "Aegon", because for some weird reason dem Targaryen, seemingly have a pool of 10 names to pick from, and they are cool with repeating names and causing confusion , and that's what started this bloody war in the first place.

I can't even blame Alicent too much, as i think she had already accepted Rhaenyra as her queen before Viserys spewed that nonsense to her. If only Viserys had just said "The princess that was promised", probably things would've been more clearer, but Alicent heard Prince and Aegon and she put 2 and 2 together to make 4 😭.

And what was that prophecy about Daemon all about? 👀.

EXACTLY! The episode is just setting up what is to coming in the next episode, that's what people don't understand. Although Rhaenyra didn't need to go to Kings Landing, it was important she needed to talk Allicent before it actually started -
reason 1 is she still thinks Allicent controls her son
2 - she still sees Allicent as a friend despite what happened in EP 7 season 1
3. Allicent is smart enough to know if Rhaenyra dies- Daemon is probably the one with all the strings since Jace is still young
Now, Rhaenyra understands that war is the only way forward since even Allicent is not to be trusted.

You're right but you should know Rhaenyra doesn't know that yet. She still thinks Allicent controls her son mostly because the war hasn't started yet and as she sees control is slipping from Allicent and Otto's hands that's why she did that. It's not a cheap discourse

Unpopular opinion: The last few episodes broke the series for me... especially the ISSUE 2

I guess I will be downvoted a lot but I'll say my opinion anyway. I have serious issues with how the last few episodes went down. I have also never read the book/books. I heard a second season is unlikely as the books have concluded, so I'll type this now -

ISSUE 1 - Unresolved plotlines.

Amanda finally found a world which she felt satisfied with and could finally live her life. However Jason quietly left some of the serum with her and we see nothing on that again. This can be seen as a decent conclusion to her character journey.

But with the introduction of clones who opened different doors/made different decisions, this leads to unresolved questions as to her clones and where they are.

The version of Leighton who went after Jason 1 and Amanda was completely forgotten by the plot. Did he just remain lost in the box forever with all the clones he makes? We don't know because it's unconcluded and he was forgotten by the writers.



ISSUE 2 - The mechanics of the Box

The introduction of the Jason 1 clones completely broke the mechanics of the show and did unrepairable damage to its writing in my opinion.

Ignoring the fact that it doesn't even make any sense how it works even with the suspension of belief, the box is more of a device that links across the multiple unlimited worlds through imagination.

In other words, the box was meant to serve as a link between an unlimited number of already existing universes, not creating new universes. If it were creating universes based on imagination, then that would mean that Jason 2 created a device that could create entire universes including humans, planets, solar systems etc...

Now herein lies the problem. It's one thing for there to be different versions of Jason in different universes, it's another for there to be multiple clones of the same version of Jason all because of different choices and doors opened.

It becomes so broken that the box is practically creating full blooded clones rather than just linking worlds through imagination...

To put this into context, the box is creating entire human clones.

That means that Jason 2 created a box that can fully clone an entire human being.


Anyway, the series is still a 7/10 to me...rather than the 9/10 I was hoping it would become

That whole situation is just funny to me. When the surgery goes well they'll tell you they did it for themselves and not the "male gaze". But when it goes wrong, it's the men's fault

They said it was men that bullied her and that's why she went to go change her face. If that's true, then any man who thought her season 1 and 2 face was ugly needs to have their eyes checked.

And if people really did say mean things about her face, her caring enough about comments from some random people online to go change her face drastically like that was just dumb.

Nah the mad king is decades after the dance of dragons. There were still several Targaryen rulers after this war, like the Egg who I believe a series is being made for. Most of them if not all were obsessed with bringing back the age of dragons.
