I can vividly tell you that they are Fulani that have already adopted Yoruba name.
There are plenty of them in Kwara state and gaa Fulani across the west. They are Fulanis but have Yoruba name.
You can only know their tribe through their surname.

Are you sure they are all Fulani's and his brothers. Saheed and Soliu are not typical or popular names among Fulani's.

They said a gang, that 3 Togolese even escaped. And again, the victim only ID'ed one of them so all of them being his brothers is highly unlikely

The reporting could be the problem.For instance, at one point, I wondered how the dead man could be the witness.

This particular kidnap happened before my eyes at Araomi Owode Ede in 2018. Very funny how time flies! This man(daddy Yissa) and his family lives very close to my house at Owode Ede. He kept on covering his son(Yissa) lawlessness until it consumed him. Yissa will go and steal from people's farm, use cows to graze our farms and his dad will use his wealth, influence and all that to threaten those that wants to take the matter up...His popular statement, "Se o ju kin ta malu meji lo ni? (i.e by the time he sell two cows, the case will be settled with security personnels.
He was kidnapped by the gangs of his son with his own car(Toyota Corolla) immediately he got home from Owode market that faithful day. They kept him at Agbarabiada, owode Ede in his friend's house who is also a fulani and took his car to somewhere in Lagos to dump it there so that people will believe that he is not anywhere close. His wives, Yissa(first son) and other children sold many of his cows for payment of ransom until he was killed when they discovered that he has identified his friend whose house they kept him at Agbarabiada. It's an unbelievable stuff. The same man he sold his first car to.
The detectives arrested some of the gangs at Ilorin and they confessed that Yissa is part of them. It was then that they came to Araromi Owode Ede to arrest Yissa in front of Baale house. We didn't believe until they beat hell out of him and he began to confess.
According to him, he only wanted them to kidnap his dad, teach him a lesson and collect some money from him for refusal to separate his own cows for him when he wanted to go his own way and have his own family somewhere else.

His son Yissa was one of his kidnappers and he confessed everything that happened from planning to execution of the kidnap and the killing of the man.
