One of Nnamdi Kanu's principal Lawyers, Nnaemeka Ejiofor, has clarified Kanu's position on his release. Ejiofor took to his Facebook page to say that Senator Abaribe misunderstood what Kanu said.

a coward dies a thousand deaths, a soldier dies but once. fact is ojukwu and Nnamdi KANU are coward who ran away (with there tail between there legs) one to ivory coast and another one to Kenya when it became obvious thy lost the war they wasn’t prepared for.
