How can less than 500 people budget over #344B for themselves in 2024 when many states can't pay minimum wage of #30k? They are buying Suv cars worth hundreds of millions when millions of Nigerians are on less than #30000 per month.

Don't deceive yourself. Let me humour your logic, If NA allocation is 0, and the two assemblies completely scrapped. The 344 billion naira is then shared across 36 states, many states can't still pay minimum wage. It translates to less than 10 billion naira per state in a year.

The issues are deeper than trivialising it on salaries of legislators, it is a little bit part of the issue though. Nigeria has an annual budget of over 20 trillion naira.
