Would you believe this?

Few weeks ago I was in Aba Abia State.
I went to run some errands for my husband.

I lodged in a particular hotel, anytime I find myself in Aba na there I dey stay ... It's almost like I already have a room there.

After about a week I got a business call in calabar that needed my urgent attention. So I packed and moved to calabar.

It was on my way to calabar that I realized my iPhone was missing 💔💔💔

So I called the receptionist and asked her to please go to my room and check for my phone . She said she will but I didn't hear from her again.

I got to calabar very late so I slept off.

By morning I called the receptionist again, and she said she didn't see any phone 🤳🏼. I asked her to please check very well. She still insisted that she had done that .

I asked her to ask the black guy that helped us pack our loads ... She said she has. At this point she became rude and end the call.

I was really sad. And that phone wasn't on password and my sim is in it. I tried calling but it was switched off. My phone was fully charged the morning before I traveled to calabar.

But immediately I noticed it was missing and called the line , it was switched off.

I kept calling till date 😔

I brought out my box, searched it properly but I still couldn't find my phone.

I don't go out with that phone so I couldn't have misplaced it.

4 days later I called the receptionist again
I pleaded with her to go to that particular room, check by the bedside and see if it had fallen over the edge of the room. She told me that someone was already in the room so she couldn't. I wasn't done talking she end the call

From calabar I came back to Enugu state.
Three days ago I called the receptionist again
I asked her if she had checked and she said

"Madam we are not with your phone please stop calling " she ends the call 🤙🏼

😭😭😭😭😭 I almost gave up

I was scared. That's my private line, my pictures and that of my family is there 😭😭
The phone isn't on password and so it's easy to access it. Which is risky

Well I gave up 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

But then I wasn't satisfied

Before they would check anyone inside the room, of course they would clean the room very well right Which means someone must have found my phone . Could be the cleaner or the butler... Anyone

So I called her (the receptionist) back again

This time I told them I had tracked the phone and it's showing that the phone is at the hotels venue... And if they won't hand over the phone to me that I would take up legal actions

She asked me to hold on let her inform the manager...

Few minutes later the manager called me .

He asked me how I knew the phone was in the hotel?

I told him I tracked the phone.

He said 'is alright ' so when will you come to take it .

I was shocked but had to keep calm

I told him I was far away in enugu state so I couldn't come. I asked him if they could send it through peace mass transit to Enugu state.

He said okay. And asked that I forward my waybil details to the line .

Which I did

He asked who will pay for delivery, I told him I will ... And that was it

24 hours later nobody called😳😳😳

I called the receptionist again and she said she has no idea about any phone. I explained everything to her and she said she has no idea

Hmmmmm

So I asked her to ask the manager

I called back again and she said the manager wasn't around...

Few hours later , she still claimed the manager wasn't around.

So I decided to seek for a dispatch rider in Aba.

Which was why I made that post yesterday asking for a dispatch rider in Aba.

With the help of Immaculata Merit Adaugo I found one. He went to the hotel and they gave him the phone after small drama sha which I no get energy to type.

So he went to peace mass and registered the phone ...

Am kinda still worried sha

I hope the phone returns the same way it was ...with my sim

I am writing this here just for the record. Because I still can't believe why a hotel as big as that would treat their regular customer like that.

I lodge there for a week or two anytime I am in Aba . I buy their food. I tip their staffs ... I buy water even drinks when I have visitors.

Why on earth would they withhold my phone for two weeks

Assuming the phone was off why didn't they charge it so that the owner of the phone can at least call 🤙🏼

But then I am thankful to Jehovah that I would soon have my phone back with me...

The last time I saw that phone it was charging on the locker beside the bed.... I went out, came back and began to pack. I took the charger but didn't notice the phone was gone .

Before I left I have a video of me going round my room to properly check if I was forgetting anything... By then their staff had already helped me to carry my bags downstairs.

So at what point did my phone disappear

If you be thief,everybody no be thief.. You no see that guy when return over 14million when oyinbo wrongly pay to him? He for say since na crypto and not easily traceable,make he run with am.. but dude still returned the money.. Guy no be every Nigerian be thief.

Because a reasonable person can’t say all Nigerians are thieves.. I just showed you example of a Nigerian who returned over 14million that wasn’t his.. I know if it was you,returning it will be a sin to you..
