Definitely. But it's an advise they're not obligated to take. They can decide to fund their religious leaders' luxury lifestyles and live in penury after 35 years of public service. It's still a choice.

It is! If they become prosperous, Lagos will earn more taxes from their income/business. When they are poor, it falls back on the govt to provide palliative and general poverty index of the state.

Many churches have increased the poverty level of people and they won’t hesitate to ask at least 10% of the pension payments. Some will pay 60% to church even! So the advice is apt. And don’t you ever imagine I am not a Christian. I love Christ with all my heart.

Please don’t hinder them from going to heaven.
