It will interest you to know that a lot of the top Fortune 500 CEOs and other C Suite Executives have some Zen Buddhist influence in their life. So to think because the people around you have no clue about Buddhist scripture doesn't mean it is limited to one part of the world.

Another thing to note is neither Buddhism nor Hinduism is evangelical nor do they seek world conquest in contrast to Islam and Christianity.

BTW the Muslim population is projected to exceed that of Christians in the coming decades, is that a sign of divine origin? Those top Fortune 500 CEOs and other C Suite Executives have also read the Bible. And that 500 or 1000 number of rich people are still human beings. We don't count them as more than one person in a census or vote. So, yes, Buddhism and its influence is limited, and most Buddhists are in Asia.
That neither Buddhism nor Hinduism is evangelical again proves their lack of influence and relevance. Apparently their deity didn't realise or think ahead that there are other creatures outside China and India, or there were no plans for them.
For me, true muslims are already more than true christians and have been that way before i was born and for a very long time, it's not just a projection. So, i am not speaking for religious population but the influence that the BIBLE has had compared to all the billions of other books. It remains unparalleled by a wide margin. i have not chosen the wide spread nature of the christian religion but the widespread influence of the Bible. There's a difference.
