Starting off, I used to be a fan of sci Fi movies... spiderman, fantastic 4, chronicles, hulk etcetera etcetera but then I discovered 3 primary thing about these sci Fi genre of movies that made me start to feel repelled by them

1) They're not founded on actual reality

Just because you watched movies like limitless or Lucy doesn't mean you'll suddenly become super Smart.

FINE

you get the feeling of "what if I was the one thinking extra smart like that" then that feeling is triggered by a dopamine rush that makes you feel good...


but guess what?

THATS ALL YOU'LL EVER GET. A PETTY MINDLESS FEELING
You still won't be able to fly like superman...and you definitely won't be able to run as fast as flash...watch Justice League repeatedly all you like.
Those films give you petty mindless feelings with no action to back it up with

Remember, porn stars don't watch porn

2) They deliberately distract you from the truth

Ever wondered why in ALL the exorcism movies you've watch, you always saw a Catholic priest present performing the exorcism??

Guess what a scene like that would do to its audience?

It instills a belief that

a) the Catholic church is powerful

b) only Catholic are well versed in possession and exorcism




You never wondered why Jesus didn't build a church or work with the church elders he met during his time to build a 'physical' church for his 'Spiritual' father in Heaven

3) You gain nothing but a feeling

...same feeling beer bottles give to alcoholic and same feeling pornography gives to porn addicts and masturbators and same feelings the masses get when a politician makes them a promise
plus you waste your precious Time you could have spent on important things
