If a church worker commits adultery or fornication, should they tell their pastor or church leadership about it or just repent and move on? God is loving, forgiving and merciful, and he forgives the worst sinner. Now, when a church worker commits fornication or adultery, such worker should in wisdom inform the pastor and seek for prayers also. He or she may also tell a trusted church leader about such acts. But firstly, the person should repent of it and then speak to a trusted leader or the persons clergy or pastor about such acts. This is in general terms in a bible-believing and good church. This also applies to committing adultery in marriage or cheating in courtship. Such acts should be confessed to the partner, as God will not like such secrets to be hidden and covered. 4 Likes 1 Share

I think there is a part of the Bible that says confess to one another but ultimately, forgiveness is of the Lord so, the most important thing is repentance as we cannot continue in sin and expect continuous flow of the blessings of God because God cannot dwell where sin abounds. Selah |

What kind of man will go and confess to another man that he committed adultery? Imagine... Congregant; Pastor... I'm here to confess that I committed adultery and am here seeking forgiveness. Pastor: It is well .... and who is the Jezebel that seduced you? Congregant: Your wife .... Mummy GO ... didn't she confess as yet? At times members attend church and disappear and we be wondering why. A woman goes and confess ... the pastor is likely to get between her legs. Where in the Bible is it written that a pastor has any part to play in the forgiveness of one's sin? Confused Christians everywhere. |
