What I know is that Yorubas came from Saudi Arabia while Igbos migrated from Israel. Igbos are one of the lost tribes of the Jews. It's not as if Israel is peaceful and leading the world like US that we are claiming to come from there but it is what it is, your ancestry remains your ancestry whether good or bad. Kola nut also grow in Igbo land. We had one Kola nut tree in my family compound while growing up. So the kola nut story is not entirely true. What I know is that we have Ugbos (in Ondo state today) who fought the Ifes. Moremi, an Offa princess married to the Ife king saved the Ifes from the Ugbos. That's how Ife became peaceful and they made progress.

The ooni is right but i understand that he's afraid to say that yorubas are descendants of igbos.

Odudunwa was the last son of Eri who migrated and became a god to yorubas. Ile ife means tongue of light in Igbo. Many yoruba communities have Igbo in their name.

Very poor reasoning and claims from the Ooni especially on kola nut. In fact right now there's a kola nut tree standing right at backyard of my father's house and I am an Igbo. So I don't know where he got that notion of kola nut being grown only in Yoruba land from.
