Good evening everyone....
I work as a marketer with a microfinance Bank here in Ibadan Oyo State but the situation of things has been terrible for the past 7 months now and it seems the company may fold up soon because they are running at loss.





There are times we will just be moving around without achieving anything, most of our customers has ran away because they couldn't pay off there debt and it's affecting our salaries, most times the Branch Manager will tell us to get the guarantor arrested but at the end nothing will come out.
For the past five months we haven't received salary,except 3,500 for transportation.
I just had to quit this job to look for another opportunity probably a teaching job or secretary in another organisation.

I believe God is in control and will definitely make a way soon

People to share hopeless thoughts with or for people to help you??

If you want people to help you, then LEARN TO SELL yourself.
Your credentials... school certificates, your handwork...your drive...what keeps you going etc

Someone who would help you might be reading. You never can tell

Some people might be facing the same challenges too, we all know what Nigeria is saying right now.

Marketing job in a bank is just one of the jobs nobody should take if you don't want to waste your life.

You that took a marketing job self is not serious, so na now your eyes come open?
Of all the jobs in this life na marketing, anyway welcome to the WhatsApp group of unemployed people.

I just read your other story. The Lord is in control. For staying 5 months without salary alone, you have tried. Another job will come.

Like someone said, post your credentials and possibly someone in need of your skill set will contact you.

Instead of marketing for a bank.. Why don’t you go to shop owners with products of high demand.. Help them market their goods and ask him for some percentage. As time goes on you don open your shop ,start market your goods yourself too.. If you were into this for those times with d bank ,you for don get shop. Work under a real estate agent when dey try.. Source for deals while growing under him or her.. soon you start your own.. You are leaving one prison and searching for another prison again.. does it makes sense?

I really admire you people that work without pay.

If you don't pay max a week after the salary week, I am quitting. I'd rather eat kpo kpo at home in peace than work for free.

I am once in your shoes bro, I resigned my microfinance Bank job too may 13th, the bank is one of the biggest mfb but I'm just feeling wasted on the job, trekking upandown in the street of Lagos looking for what is not lost, but I finally made up my mind to quit even without me having any hope of another all because the toxic boss and the job came with crazy target which I can never meet!

I dropped my resignation letter on the 13th of May and I received a mail from a firm I applied to on the 16th if may to come for interview on the Island, to cut the the long story short I got the job and I resumed already plus it's an hybrid role!
