My brother, according to a popular African adage.

It is only a mad man who goes to hunt bush rats when his own house is on fire...

They are using their very own hands to scatter their very own region and are busy blaming others, who probably has never set foot in their region before.

No problem, they should continue, someday, the whole region will turn to something else, to the point that they won't even be able to come to Nairaland to type anything again. Maybe by then, they would understand that no one is actually fighting for their freedom but for what they stand to gain.

This is the very first time I am commenting on this issue, I also do hope that it will be my last.

Release Kanu, Igbos will then confront any person causing insecurity in SE as a common criminal.
As long as Kanu is held, anyone claiming to be fighting for his release will have some sympathy of Igbo people no matter how misguided the person might appear. Releasing Kanu will take that sympathy out of the equation.

This is what non Igbo Nigerans don't seem to understand.

When Aba and Onitsha became intolerable because of activity of criminals, Igbo people formed Bakassi to take care of criminals and restore security across SE. It can happen again but NO IGBO MAN will agree to confront anyone who claims to be fighting for MNK/Biafra, even when they disagree with their method.
