The Lagos State Law Reform Commission organised a 3-day workshop on AI Powered Translation of the Laws of Lagos State into Yoruba Language with a view to boosting public order and safety, operational efficiency, and improved accessibility and scalability of Lagos State Laws.
The theme for the 3-day event was "Unlocking AI Powered Translation: Enhancing Access to Lagos State Laws in indigenous languages."

Lagos State government is the most innovative and active in the country probably because the media and civil society groups are always watching the government.

I cannot believe that a popular actor like Junior Pope died in a boat mishap, Delta State government didn't implement new laws to regulate the water transport and the citizens kept quiet. It just goes to show how docile people in the state are.

Had this happened in Lagos, you would've seen the LASG in action because they know there are media houses, activists, and civil society groups waiting to scrutinize and criticise them.

This is a very bad idea and dead on arrival. This is just another way to loot people's money.

A lot of people already understand English on basic level and even conversing or speaking. Yoruba is very hard for to read and write for Yoruba pikin. Most market women and agberos do well with English or pseudo English called pigdin.
