The point here is that he submitted an unverifiable voter card. It is not that he cannot be voted for, but he forged one, which is a criminal offense.

The report already said it is not a constitutional requirement to be a registered voter before standing for elective position but that it would a case of criminal litigation because the candidate allegedly submitted a FORGED voter's card to INEC as a registered voter.

According to the investigation, the names on the voter's card the candidate submitted to INEC is not found on the voter's register for all the 18 LGA of Edo State. Allegedly implying that he forged it, which is a criminal conduct.

It also means he submitted fake details. Which can legally get him out if he wins.

This news is for fooooools to consume. Okpebholo has been voting in udomi for years. Just last year he voted again in the general elections.

And you depend on a Nigerian website that is not reliable and prone to countless errors in making your allegations. You know, if you are a journalist and not a roadside envelope collecting blaba mouth, you should verify the information before rushing to make allegations. In professional ethics, it’s not the one that rush to report that matters but rather the one that verify the news before reporting.

Sometimes when you see what people write hear, you'll know how dull the average Nigerian youth is. Some said he forged the voter's card,others said it's a fake voter's card. This is someone that has been voting ooo. Infact just last year he voted in his own senatorial election. How does a forged or fake voter's card have its bearer's name on INEC register? How does a forged or fake voter's card pass through bvas technology for accreditation? I pity Nigeria b'cos her future leaders are majorly dunce incapable of any critical thinking.

In Nigeria, we practice Universal Adult Suffrage and it is in the control of the law of this nation to allow qualified adults to be voted for and to vote on the adult wills! If the candidate didn’t have a voter card and he is contesting for a political office it is left for the electorate to determine his faith at the poll! Everyone enjoys his or her political liberty, and political participation, and the major rights are political, and economic rights, Academic freedom, civil and political rights, decentralization, dissident, and freedom of assembly. In case everyone decides not to have a registered voter card then we will all switch back to direct democracy, not representative democracy whereas we follow due process made by the legal state status!
