Why are they appealing
I thought they saud it'd just an academics judgment ND the ruling 9f the court does not affect their candidates

I thought the PDP said the judgement didn't nullify the Ighodalo's candidacy. Why are they now appealing? Something that didn't affect you, why bother?

It doesn't make any logical or legal sense.

The upper Iweka discharge and bail PDP agent here wetin be him monicker, few days ago was telling us otherwise

Something you said has NO effect, so how can it be used against you since it has no effect? It's doesn't make any logical or legal sense. It's only in Nigeria that we interpret a clear and crystal Judgement to suit us. In developed worlds the counsels on both sides interpret the Judgement as delivered even when they don't agree with the judgement. But here, na lie.

It's so disgusting.

Why the appeal? Why? After telling the world that the judgment of the lower court was inconsequential and of no effect on Ighodalo.

If PDP is not careful, it would not have candidate in the coming election.

But they said it was nothing believe politicians at your own risk

Pdp should save themselves the trouble and time wasting gimmicks of APC by just organising another primary, while ensuring that there are no loop holes in the rerun election. Whoever emerges should get full support of the party.

Too late, why did you think Shaibu was jubilating, the moment the court gave that judgement, PDP are out, it doesn't matter how much they appeal, the fact that a PDP member already got that judgement means even if they will, other parties can use the case and kick them out.

He is right, though even with the appeal any party can use it.

I think they made a mistake not taking the case seriously before the judgement, just like pdp did in Osun when the dancing senator was kicked out because one of his own took him to court for not having SSCE, Shaibu just gave everyone amunition to destory the party chances and there is no way to stop it.

They were trying to decieve some of their dumb supporters. Anybody that celebrated in 2019 when Wike with the support of factional leader of Apc then Magnus Abe to disqualified Apc from contesting in that election, don't have moral right to question if the pdp candidate which is likely to be disqualified in September 21 election this year. When some of us said Philip Shiabu is a dogged politician we know what we mean. Before and after graduating from university, all he knows is politics. He was the one who convinced Oshiomole to contest Edo governorship in 2007. He is just like a son to oshiomole but not his political son cos he has been politicking when oshiomole was still in labour movement. Obaseki is a novice in politics and they will prove to him soonest. When pdp is disqualified, if Esan people like, let them be decieved by Obidients and vote Akpata as governor. We in Edo north has nothing to lose cos we will produced the deputy again and the first Muslim deputy governor of the state and after Akpata tenure we will takeover the governorship. They should urgently do away from emotion and face reality. If not for foolishness on part of Obaseki, you have already lost the formidable legacy group since last year when they supported other party in the general election and also you started fighting Shaibu till his impeachment. Who is losing now. If they succeeded in disqualifing pdp from contesting, Shaibu will be compensated with a federal position. How can you be a governor and be afraid of your deputy contesting against your candidate in the primaries were you are the leader of the party constitutionally by your party. He simply means he was not on ground politically. He made so many enemies and he became afraid of his candidate losing.

The Courts have ruled that they have no business in the conduct of primaries of political parties as it is a party affair. That is when the candidate of another party alleges irregularities in the primaries of the opposing party.

In this instance, it is a member of the same PDP alleging irregularities, not another party.
