They say presidential jets for the president and other senior government officials are symbols of national pride, but is that really the truth? particularly when it comes to African countries which most of them are still struggling to stand on their feet, most of these African countries have poor living wage package for their civil service and majority of the citizens of these countries are still living below $1 a day, yet these countries can still afford to buy jets to be used by their presidents at the detriment of their economies. Thanks to countries like Burundi, Cabo Verde , Central African Republic and others who decided to say no to wastage and put the welfare of their citizens first before their presdidents luxurious living.
