I don't think Local government chairmen are caged in Lagos o. From Kosofe to Shomolu to Bariga to Lagos Island East to Ikoyi-Obalende local government chairmen are really working like governors in other states. In fact I can tell you that local government chairmen performance in Lagos state is more than Samuel Ortom, Yahya Bello and Peter Obi performance as governor

Tell him to also do well to give financial breakdown of inflow and outflow on the LGA account.

If this LGA autonomy is implemented. It's a massive win for democracy. LGA chairmen are closer to the masses than the governors and hence will be easily held accountable. Elections will be more competitive. I'm assuming for sum LGA elections will be more important than Governorship elections

I honestly think the state governors would do better works at the local government levels. This is because governors are usually more refined and experienced in leadership than the LG chairmen!

..abi.. imagine there was local government autonomy in existence for the past 10 years from now.. imagine the development and infrastructures and amenities that have been in this LGA areas, villages communities by now and the development...this state governors were selfish and greedy
