He will only give them what is statutory, but he will be foolish to reward them beyond that when there are many qualified supporters to reward.

Remember how Igbos on this forum advised Jonathan to chase Yoruba leaders away whenever they come again to complain about being marginalized in that regime?

They further advised Yorubas to go and meet Tinubu their leader if they want anything.

The Yorubas certainly went with their leader, and we know how that has paved the way for a better political reward for Yorubas since 2015, starting with the democratic sacking of that very same Jonathan regime.
