For those asking for black characters in anime, they probably haven't read JJK manga. It appears as though many Japanese authors do not know how to depict black characters without referencing their race. although they sometimes do a good job such as fire force charon, but only rarely.

Oh looks like i miss took her for MHA's Mirko. But to be fair the way anime depict their characters are in such a way that it is almost impossible to detetermine their race. if you've seen chained soldier you would know what i mean.

Atsushi Okubo is clearly a man of culture. He has featured black characters in his works since Soul Eater. This may have to do with his knowledge of western pop culture which he always references in his works.
